Camera - Forward Facing (Remove and Replace)
Correction Code 17231102 - Mono Camera 17231002 - Triple Camera
Warning
If the 12V power
supply is disconnected, do not attempt to open any doors with door glass in
closed position. Failure to follow this instruction could result in door glass
shatter.
Note
Before
disconnecting the 12V power supply, ensure that the driver’s door window is
fully open. Failure to follow this instruction could result in vehicle
lockout.

1st Generation Autopilot (Mono Camera)
CAUTION
Do not touch the camera lens at any point during this
procedure.
- Disconnect 12V power. See Disconnect 12V Power .
- Remove the rear view mirror (refer to procedure).

Remove the rear cover by pulling down to release the clips (x4).
CAUTIONDo not damage the headliner when removing the rear cover.CAUTIONReplace any broken clips.

Release the screws (x6) that secure the camera bracket (torque 3.5 Nm).
- Move the rear view mirror harness out of the way.

Disconnect the camera harness connector.
- Remove the camera assembly.
2nd Generation Autopilot (Triple Camera)
CAUTION
Do not touch the camera lenses at any point during this
procedure.
- Whenever a camera has been moved out of its original position (for example, a camera or windshield replacement), camera calibration data must be cleared using the vehicle touchscreen: Controls > Service > Camera Calibration > Clear Calibration.
- Remove the rear view mirror (refer to procedure).

Remove the mirror cover by pulling down to release the clips.
CAUTIONReplace any broken clips.

Release the screws that secure the mirror bracket carrier to the glare shield (torque 0.8 Nm)

Disconnect the camera harness connectors.
NoteEnsure that both harnesses are routed to the RH side of the vehicle during installation.
- Remove the camera and mirror bracket carrier as an assembly.

Remove the screws that secure the camera to the mirror bracket carrier (torque 0.8 Nm).
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
CAUTION
Do not touch the
camera lens at any point during this procedure.
- Clean the inside surface of the
windshield: Apply windshield cleaner to a microfiber cloth, and then wipe the
windshield in circular motion. Allow time for the windshield to fully dry before
continuing.CAUTIONVerify that the windshield has no stains or leftover residue. Otherwise, Autopilot features may be hindered.

Camera):
Update the vehicle firmware. See Firmware Update.
- Adjust the forward facing
camera:
- 1st generation Autopilot (Mono Camera): Perform a target calibration (refer to procedure).
- 2nd generation Autopilot (Triple Camera): Perform camera pitch verification (refer to procedure).
