Blower Motor - HVAC (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 18103202

  • 2026-06-30: Updated procedure to include glove box and knee airbag removal.

Removal

  1. Move the RH front seat backward.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the RH and LH underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the HEPA filter inlet duct. See Duct - HEPA Filter - Inlet (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the HEPA filter outlet duct. See Duct - HEPA Filter - Outlet (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the glove box. See Glove Box (Remove and Replace).
  7. Disconnect the 12 V power. See Disconnect 12V Power.
  8. Remove the RH center console closeout extension. See Assembly - Closeout Extension - LH - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the passenger knee airbag. See Knee Air Bag - Front Passenger's (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the fasteners (x2) that secure the RH lower air duct to the HVAC assembly.
  11. Release the RH lower air duct from the HVAC assembly and move it aside.
  12. Disconnect the blower motor connector.
  13. Remove the screws (x3) that secure the blower motor to the HVAC assembly.
  14. Remove the blower motor from the HVAC assembly.

Installation

  1. Install the screws (x3) that secure the blower motor to the HVAC assembly (torque 1 Nm).
  2. Connect the blower motor.
  3. Install the RH lower air duct to the HVAC assembly.
  4. Install the fasteners (x2) that secure the RH lower air duct to the HVAC assembly (torque 1 Nm).
  5. Install the passenger knee airbag. See Knee Air Bag - Front Passenger's (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the RH center console closeout extension. See Assembly - Closeout Extension - LH - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the glove box. See Glove Box (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the RH footwell cover. See Assembly - Cover - Footwell - Passenger's (Remove and Replace).
  9. Connect the 12 V power. See Disconnect 12V Power.
  10. Install the HEPA filter outlet duct. See Duct - HEPA Filter - Outlet (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the HEPA filter inlet duct. See Duct - HEPA Filter - Inlet (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the RH and LH underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  14. Move the RH front seat to its original position.
