Coolant Heater - Electric - Battery (E-Fuse) (Remove and Replace)

Note
This procedure only applies to vehicles with eFuse.
- For vehicles with the 1st generation High Voltage configuration, refer to Coolant Heater - Electric - Battery - 1st Generation (Remove and Replace).
- For vehicles with the 2nd generation High Voltage configuration, refer to Coolant Heater - Electric - Battery - 2nd Generation (Remove and Replace).
- For vehicles with the 2nd generation High Voltage configuration and Dual Motor, refer to Coolant Heater - Electric - Battery (Dual Motor) (Remove and Replace).
Removal
- Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
- Remove the fuse box (refer to procedure).
- Remove the wiper motor (refer to procedure).
- Remove the E-fuse module (refer to procedure).
- Raise the vehicle to a comfortable working height (refer to procedure)

On top of the forward junction
box, release the harness that leads to the battery coolant heater.
CAUTIONDo not disconnect the RH most harness from the forward junction box.

Clamp and disconnect the 2
coolant hoses.

Disconnect the coolant hoses to
the heater assembly.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach
the electrical battery heater to the DCDC bracket (torque 8 Nm).

Remove the electrical battery
heater assembly.

Remove the bolts (x4) that attach
the battery heater to the bracket (torque 9 Nm), and then remove the battery
heater from the bracket
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
- Transfer the coolant hose and bracket to the new electric battery coolant heater.
- Make sure that all areas are clean and dry before installing the coolant heater.
- Perform the cooling system partial refill. See Cooling System - Partial Refill and Bleed
- If necessary, adjust the wipers (refer to procedure).
