Finisher - Liftgate - Rear Window - Lower (Remove and Replace)
Correction Code 15111302
- 2023-09-26: Added new images and performed general cleanup.
- 2023-05-02: Added step to disconnect electrical harness from finisher.
Removal
-
Inspect the latch cover. If it is a separate trim part, remove it with a trim
tool. If is not a separate part, proceed to step 2.
- Remove the upper rear window liftgate finisher. See Finisher - Liftgate - Rear Window - Upper (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH side rear window liftgate finisher. See Finisher - Liftgate - Rear Window - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove the screws (x2) that
attach the liftgate lower finisher to the liftgate.

Release the LH and RH pull cups by gently prying on all 4 sides with a trim
tool.

Disconnect the liftgate button connector.
- Remove the LH and RH pull cups from the liftgate.

Carefully release the clips (x10) that attach the liftgate lower finisher.
CAUTIONReplace any broken clips.CAUTIONTake care not to damage component(s).

Disconnect the electrical harness from the liftgate lower finisher
connectors.
NoteThe number of connectors may vary.
- Remove the lower rear window liftgate finisher.
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
- If the latch cover is a separate trim piece, replace the entire lower liftgate finisher with revision E or higher, if possible. In these revisions, the latch cover is part of the main finisher panel.
- Make sure that all clips are aligned before securing the liftgate lower finisher.
- Use a piece of felt tape to attach the clips to the liftgate lower finisher. Do not use grease or glue to secure the clips.
