Actuator - Front Passenger's Temperature (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Open the RH front door.
  2. Lower the RH front window.
  3. Remove the glove box. See Glove Box (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect the RH upper HVAC duct connector, remove the screw that attaches the duct to the HVAC assembly, and then remove the duct from the HVAC assembly.
  5. Disconnect the front passenger temperature actuator connector.
  6. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the front passenger temperature actuator to the HVAC assembly, and then remove the actuator from the vehicle.

    Take note of the actuator position during removal.

Installation

  1. Position the front passenger temperature actuator on the vehicle, and then install the screws (x3) that attach the actuator to the HVAC assembly.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)

  2. Connect the front passenger temperature actuator connector.
  3. Position the RH upper HVAC duct on the HVAC assembly, install the screw that attaches the duct to the HVAC assembly, and then connect the duct connector.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)
  4. Install the glove box. See Glove Box (Remove and Replace).
  5. Perform a cooling system thermal test. See Cooling System - Thermal Test.
  6. Raise the RH front window.
  7. Close the RH front door.
