Brake Hose - Adaptive - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)
Correction Code 33030312
Warning
If the vehicle has air
suspension, activate "Jack" mode on the touchscreen before raising and
supporting the vehicle.
Removal
- Open the LH front door.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication. See Gateway Unlock.
- In Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "Pressure-Burnished" into the search field, click TEST_BRAKE_X_STIFFNESS-TEST-PRESSURE-BURNISHEDvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode: Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Brake Stiffness Test, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Position an oil drain container under the LH front wheel area.

Remove the banjo bolt that
attaches the brake hose to the LH front brake caliper (torque 42 Nm).
CAUTIONTo prevent damage always use a suitable wrench to hold the backing nut when loosening pipes and unions.CAUTIONPlug pipe connections to prevent ingress of moisture or dirt.NotePlace suitable absorbent material around the affected area to absorb any possible fluid spillage.

Remove the bolt that
attaches the brake hose bracket to the LH air spring module (torque 10
Nm).

Release the nut that
attaches the LH front brake hose to the brake pipe (torque 16
Nm).
- Remove the bolt that attaches the brake hose bracket to the body (torque 10 Nm)
- Remove the brake hose from the vehicle.
Installation
Note
Clean the affected areas before
installation.
Warning
Replace both sealing
washers.
CAUTION
Ensure that the brake hose is
oriented correctly with no excessive twist or bends.
- Bleed the brake caliper (refer to procedure).
- Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication, if not already unlocked. See Gateway Unlock.
- In Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "Pressure-Burnished" into the search field, click TEST_BRAKE_X_STIFFNESS-TEST-PRESSURE-BURNISHEDvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode: Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Brake Stiffness Test, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Perform a road test using a series of ABS-active stops and make sure that the brake pedal feel and brake performance is as intended.
