Remove
- Prepare the badge removal tool with approximately 60 centimeters of monofilament line.
- Position the badge removal tool so that the monofilament line cuts under the bottom of the T-badge.
- Move the badge removal tool in a sawing motion to separate the T-badge from the liftgate.
- Use IPA wipes to clean all adhesive residue and debris from the liftgate surface.
Install
- Attach the T-badge on the rear badge locator, and then install the rear badge locator to the liftgate applique, aligning the cut-out in the badge locator with the "S" on the applique.
- Peel off the adhesive backing film from the rear of the badge, and then firmly press the badge onto the trunk.
-
Use a pressure roller to
wet-out the badge.
NoteStarting from the bottom, work your way upwards. Make sure that the badge is fully adhered to the liftgate.
- Remove the badge locator, and then remove the adhesive film from the badge.
- Visually inspect the badge, making sure it is correctly installed.
- Use an IPA wipe to clean the badge and wipe away any remaining adhesive residue.
