Sensor - T-Bar Accelerometer - LH (Remove and Replace)
Correction Code 20201102
Removal
- Open the hood.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the front underhood apron See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the HEPA filter inlet duct. See Duct - HEPA Filter - Inlet (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the HEPA filter outlet duct. See Duct - HEPA Filter - Outlet (Remove and Replace) .
- Turn off the vehicle power from the touchscreen.
- Disconnect the First Responder Loop and 12V battery negative terminal.
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install) .
- Remove the front fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Front (Remove and Install) .

Disconnect the electrical connector from the LH t-bar accelerometer sensor.

Remove the bolt that attaches the
LH t-bar accelerometer sensor to the vehicle (torque 3.6 Nm), and then remove the
sensor.
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
After all components are reinstalled, perform the following steps:
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway Unlock.
- In Toolbox 3, click , and then select SDM or RCM depending on the vehicle Restraint Control Type.
- Click Read DTCs to display the DTCs.
- Power cycle the vehicle.
- Click Clear DTCs to clear the DTCs.
- Disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
