Air Suspension - Pressurize/Depressurize - One Air Spring

Procedure

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  3. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove LH IP side cover.

    3x clips, 1x connector
  5. Press brake pedal to turn ON drive rails
  6. Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  7. Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication. See Gateway Unlock.
  8. Perform LH front spring deflate, using Toolbox 3:
    For Electronic Air Suspension:
    1. Select the Actions tab and search for "EAS deflate front left".
    2. Select the ODIN routine PROC_EAS_X_DEFLATESearch for routine in ToolboxEAS Deflate Component (CONTI), and then click the link of the routine.
    3. Select Complete Deflate, and make sure ToAmbient is unchecked.
    4. Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.
    For Tesla Air Suspension:
    1. Select the Actions tab and search for "TAS deflate component".
    2. Select the ODIN routine PROC_TAS_X_DEFLATESearch for routine in ToolboxTAS Deflate ComponentChassis / Suspension - Deflate, and then click the link of the routine.
    3. Select the FL, FR, RL or RR air spring as necessary.
    4. Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.
  9. For Electronic Air Suspension, verify EAS Air Mass is ok

    Select ‘Actions’ tab and search for ‘Measure EAS Air Mass’, Select PROC_EAS_X_MEASURE-AIR-MASSSearch for routine in ToolboxMeasure EAS Air Mass (CONTI), click ‘Run’, Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close once complete
  10. Perform finish service, using Toolbox 3:
    For Electronic Air Suspension:
    1. Select the Actions tab and search for "Finish Service".
    2. Select the ODIN routine PROC_EAS_X_FINISH-SERVICESearch for routine in ToolboxContinental Air Suspension Finish Service, and then click the link of the routine.
    3. Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.
    For Tesla Air Suspension:
    1. Select the Actions tab and search for "TAS service mode".
    2. Select the ODIN routine PROC_TAS_X_ENTER-NORMAL-MODESearch for routine in ToolboxTAS Enter Normal Run Mode, and then click the link of the routine.
    3. Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.
  11. Disconnect Toolbox and remove laptop and cable from vehicle
  12. Install LH IP side cover

  13. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  14. Lower the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  15. Touch Controls > Service > Jack Mode to deactivate "Jack Mode".
  16. For Electronic Air Suspension: power cycle the vehicle.
  17. Verify operation of air suspension

    Cycle ride height via touchscreen, Controls > Suspension > ''Low'' - ''Very High'', All doors must be closed to allow ride height to cycle, Set suspension back to ''Standard'' after verification
  18. Exit Service Mode

  19. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
