Air Line Bundle - Air Suspension - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Correction code 31101202 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the correction code and FRT listed above reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Removal

  1. Remove the HV battery. See HV Battery (RWD/AWD) (Remove and Install).
  2. Release the clips (x6) that attach the air line bundle assembly to RH rocker panel.
  3. Release the clips (x4) that attach the air line bundle assembly to the body.
  4. Remove the nut that attaches the air line fitting to the LH rear air spring module.

    Note
    Once an air leak can be heard, stop releasing until all air released.
  5. Release the clips (x3) that attach the air line to the LH rear wheelhouse.
  6. Remove the nut that attaches the air suspension line to the RH rear air spring module.

    Once an air leak can be heard, stop releasing until all air released.
  7. Release the clips (x6) that attach the air line bundle to the RH rear wheelhouse.
  8. Release the clips (x8) that attach the air line bundle to the RH front wheelhouse.
  9. Lower the vehicle for access to the underhood area.
  10. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the air line bundle to the air suspension valve block.
  11. Remove the rear air suspension air line bundle from the vehicle.

    Note
    Release the rear air suspension air line assembly from the RH front wheelhouse.

Installation

  1. Position the rear air suspension air line bundle assembly into the vehicle.
  2. Install voss fittings (x2) onto the air suspension valve block, and then attach the air lines into the voss fittings.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Remove the white plugs if not already done. Fully insert the air line into the fitting until it is fully seated. It should sit between the two white marks on the air line. Make sure that the air lines are properly secured by performing a push and pull test.
  3. Raise vehicle to a comfortable working height.
  4. Install the clips (x8) that attach the air line bundle to the RH front wheelhouse.
  5. Install the clips (x6) that attach the air line bundle to the RH rocker assembly.
  6. Install the clips (x6) that attach the air line bundle to the RH rear wheelhouse.
  7. Install the clips (x4) that attach the air line bundle to the body.
  8. Install the clips (x3) that attach the air line bundle to the LH rear wheelhouse.
  9. Install a voss fitting onto the LH rear air spring and install the air line into the voss fitting.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Remove the white plug if not already done. Fully insert the air line into the fitting until it is fully seated. It should sit between the two white marks on the air line. Make sure that the line is properly seated by performing a push and pull test.
  10. Install a voss fitting onto the RH rear air spring and install the air line into the voss fitting.

    Remove the white plug if not already done. Fully insert the air line into the fitting until it is fully seated. It should sit between the two white marks on the air line. Make sure that the line is properly seated by performing a push and pull test.
  11. Install the HV battery. See HV Battery (RWD/AWD) (Remove and Install).
  12. Pressurize the air suspension system. See Air Suspension - Pressurize/Depressurize - Full System.
  13. Remove the vehicle from the lift.

    Note
    Lower rack arms fully and remove them from under the vehicle. Remove air suspension from Jack Mode via Controls > Service > Jack Mode.
  14. Verify the correct operation of the air suspension system.

    Cycle ride height via touchscreen via Controls > Suspension > Low - Very High. All doors must be closed to allow the ride height to cycle. Set suspension back to Standard after verification.
