2. Open the liftgate.

5. Remove butyl patches covering LH rocker access holes

   2x butyl patches, Clean excess butyl from area, Discard after removal

   

   

6. Install lift pad adapters onto LH lift
   注

   2x lift pad adapters

   

   

   

7. Remove butyl patches covering RH rocker access holes
   注

   2x butyl patches, Clean excess butyl from area, Discard after removal

   

   

8. Install lift pad adapters onto RH lift
   注

   2x lift pad adapters

   

   

   

9. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See 网关（解锁）.

17. Separate carpet perforation below RH front seat to access RH middle inner HV battery bolt

    Located below rear of RH front seat, Expand the hole if necessary

    

    

18. Remove RH middle inner HV battery bolt

    1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm

    

19. Position air bag beneath rear cabin carpet to raise and allow access to rear inner HV battery bolts

    

20. Remove LH rear inner HV battery bolt
    注

    1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm, Located below LH rear main carpet

    

21. Remove RH rear inner HV battery bolt
    注

    1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm, Located below RH rear main carpet

    

22. Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A 柱下部饰板 - 左 ((拆卸和更换)).
23. Remove the LH side center console panel. See 中控台左侧饰板 ((拆卸和更换)).
24. Release OBD port from LH cabin carpet cover
    注

    2x tabs, Press black tabs to unlock then push upwards out of footwell cover

    

    

25. Disconnect E-CALL speaker connector

    1x connector

    

26. Fold LH front cabin carpet rearward
    注

27. Remove foam plug to access LH front inner HV battery bolts

28. Remove both LH front inner HV battery bolts

31. Fold RH front cabin carpet rearward
    注

    Maneuver carpet below brake pedal and accelerator pedal, Different regions may stick the carpet and foam together and tear them apart

    

32. Remove foam plug to access RH front inner HV battery bolts
    注

    1x foam plug

    

    

33. Remove both RH front inner HV battery bolts
    注

    2x bolts, EP20, 136 Nm

    

34. Disconnect the LV power. See 低压电源（断开和连接）.
35. Verify operation of multimeter
    注

    Set multimeter to DC voltage, Confirm multimeter is properly measuring voltage by testing the 16v battery

    

36. Release LH body harness from rear body and move aside
    注

    1x clip

    

37. Partially remove LH B-pillar lower trim
    注

    1x push clip

    

    

38. Partially pull out LH rear body harness

    

39. Remove all items from pockets and ensure not wearing metal items

    

40. Inspect HV insulating gloves
    注

    Check gloves for damage prior to use, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003, For information on inspecting HV gloves. https://service.teslamotors.com/documents?model=&keys=TN-15-92-003&vehicle_system=&sort_by=field_date_submitted&sort_order=DESC

    

41. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

    

42. Remove bolts securing ancillary bay probe lid cover to ancillary bay cover

    2x bolts, EP10 5-Lobe, 6 Nm, Discard after removal

    

43. Remove ancillary bay probe lid cover from ancillary bay cover

    

    

44. Verify no high voltage
    注

    Make sure to wear PPE (HV gloves, Safety glasses) when working on high voltage component, Measure B+ to Ground, B- to Ground, B+ to B-, If voltage is greater than 10V, Pack contactors are not open or welded, Stop work and reach out to Service Engineering

    

    

    

    

45. Wipe ancillary bay cover with IPA to clean surface
    注

    Allow to 1 minute dry time

    

46. Inspect ancillary bay probe lid cover gasket then position onto ancillary bay cover
    注

    Confirm no visual damage present, Wipe ancillary bay with IPA to clean surface, Allow to 1 minute dry time

    

    

47. Install bolts securing ancillary bay probe lid cover to ancillary bay cover
    注

    2x bolts, EP10 5-Lobe, 6 Nm, Install new fasteners

    

48. Remove fastener securing busbar cover access door
    注

    1x bolt, 10mm, 9 Nm

    

49. Remove bolts securing charge port busbar kit to HV header
    注

    2x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm

    

50. Remove HV insulating gloves

    

51. Lift busbar kit connector to remove from HV header
    注

    Use inflatable air bag to suspend Busbar away from HV header during removal and installation, Hold busbar firmly as there is tension on, Avoid damaging the harness bracket

    

52. Disconnect HVC logic connector and install logic cap
    注

    1x connector, 1x cap, Release locking tab then push the handle downward to release connector

    

    

53. Release positive 12V output cover from PCS cable
    注

    1x cover

    

    

54. Remove PCS cable from 12V passthrough output
    注

    1x nut, 13mm, 9 Nm, Discard nut after removal

    

55. Remove nut securing DCDC ground busbar to HV battery
    注

    1x nyloc nut, 13mm, 9 Nm, Discard nut after removal

    

56. Gently lift the DCDC ground busbar upwards

    

57. Close LH front door latch

    

58. Close LH rear door latch manually

    

59. Close RH front door latch

    

60. Close RH rear door latch manually

    

61. Close all four doors

    

62. Raise and support vehicle

    Recommended assistance, Before lifting, Ensure that the vehicle is not connected to a charging device, The positioning pin must be inserted into the car body holes

64. Release LH front wheel liner from skid plate

    1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

65. Remove clip securing LH wheel liner to body

66. Release RH front wheel liner from skid plate

67. Remove clip securing RH wheel liner to body

    1x push clip

    

68. Use bungee strap to pull back LH front wheel liner
    注

    Secure to subframe

    

69. Use bungee strap to pull back RH front wheel liner

70. Remove front skid plate
    注

    4x bolts, EP10, 13 Nm, 2x tabs, Move foward to remove

    

    

    

    

71. Inspect HV insulating gloves

72. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

    

73. Disconnect AC compressor HV harness connector from HV Ancillary harness

    1x locking connector, 3 stage locking connectors, Disengage the red locking tab by pulling it away from the connector, Depress yellow tab and pull the connector backward then depress the green tab to release

    

    

    

74. Remove HV insulating gloves

    

75. Position coolant drain container underneath LH front of HV battery

    

76. Disconnect HV battery return hose at LH side of vehicle and plug hoses

    1x spring clip, If the battery is returned to Reman, Please remove the special tool plugs

    

    

77. Release Chiller to Battery hose from Dash Crossmember
    注

    1x clip

    

78. Disconnect HV battery manifold hoses and plug hoses
    注

    1x spring clip, Loss of coolant greater than 1L requires coolant vacuum fill, If the battery is returned to Reman, Please remove the special tool plugs

    

79. Position coolant drain container underneath RH front of HV battery

    

80. Disconnect powertrain return hose from powertrain return tube and plug hoses
    注

    1x spring clip

    

    

81. Disconnect powertrain supply hose from powertrain supply tube and plug hoses
    注

    1x spring clip, Coolant loss greater than 1 L will require vacuum fill, If the battery is returned to Reman, Please remove the special tool plugs

    

    

82. Position coolant drain container underneath front of HV battery

    

83. Remove manifold tube from front of HV battery and plug HV battery
    注

    4x spring clips, If the battery is returned to Reman, Please remove the special tool plugs

    

    

    

    

    

    

84. Remove coolant drain container from underneath vehicle

86. Release clips securing coolant hoses to LH shear plate

87. Release LH side hose clip from rear battery skid plate

89. Remove lower bolts securing HV battery rear skid plate enclosure
    注

    2x bolts, EP10, 13 Nm

    

90. Remove upper bolts securing HV battery rear skid plate enclosure

    4x bolts, 13mm, 64 Nm

    

91. Remove HV battery rear skid plate enclosure

    

92. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

    

93. Remove nut securing RDU HV cable bracket to HV battery
    注

    1x nut, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

94. Disconnect RDU HV cable from HV battery
    注

    1x connector, Release locking tab and rotate the release lever up to disengage the connector, Do not force the release lever up, Ensure the alignment tabs on the RDU header are not damaged

    

    

    

95. Remove HV insulating gloves

    

96. Position coolant drain container under LH rear of vehicle

    

97. Disconnect LH coolant hose from rear of HV battery
    注

    1x spring clip, 2x plugs, Plug both the coolant hose and passthrough, If the battery is returned to Reman, please remove the special tool plug

    

    

98. Disconnect RDU inverter inlet hose from rear of HV battery and plug both ends
    注

    1x spring clip, 2x plugs, Coolant loss greater than 1 L will require vacuum fill, If the battery is returned to Reman, Please remove the special tool plug

    

    

99. Position coolant drain underneath RH rear of HV battery

    

100. Disconnect coolant outlet hose to rear return hose and plug hoses
     注

     1x spring clip, 2x plugs, Use shop towel to clean any residue coolant inside RH rocker panel if necessary, Coolant loss greater than 1 L will require vacuum fill, If the battery is returned to Reman, Please remove the special tool plugs

     

     

101. Remove coolant drain container from underneath vehicle

     

102. Release clip securing coolant hoses to RH shear plate

     1x fir tree clip

     

103. Position support stand to support front portion of rear subframe

     

104. Remove smaller fasteners for LH shear plate
     注

     2x bolts, 13mm, 64 Nm

     

105. Remove large bolt securing LH shear plate and subframe to body and remove shear plate

     1x bolt, 21mm, 125 Nm

     

     

106. Hand tighten bolt securing LH side of subframe to body
     注

     1x bolt, 21mm, 125 Nm

     

107. Remove smaller fasteners for RH shear plate
     注

     2x bolts, 13mm, 64 Nm

     

108. Remove large bolt securing RH shear plate and subframe to body and remove shear plate

     1x bolt, 21mm, 125 Nm

     

     

109. Hand tighten bolt securing RH side of subframe to body

110. Remove support stand from under vehicle

     

111. Place HV battery table into position and lower vehicle to support HV battery

     Recommend assistance, Line up table so center 4 bolts are accessible through opening in table, Adjust final battery table position using adjustable caster jacks on table

     

     

112. Remove central bolts securing HV battery center ski cover

     4x bolts, EP14, 34 Nm

     

113. Remove bolts securing LH front support bracket to vehicle
     注

     4x bolts, 16mm, 110 Nm

     

114. Remove bolts securing RH front support bracket to vehicle

115. Remove LH bolts securing HV battery to vehicle

     8x bolts, 13mm, 35 Nm

     

116. Remove RH bolts securing HV battery to vehicle

161. Connect LH coolant hose to rear of HV battery

     1x spring clip, 2x plugs, Remove plugs, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hose is fully seated.Vacuum fill required if > 1L lost during repair

     

     

162. Remove coolant drain container from underneath vehicle

     

163. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

     

164. Connect RDU HV cable to HV battery
     注

     1x connector, Make sure the connector lock is 90 degrees from the connector before beginning to secure the connector, Use one hand to support the connector while other latching locking tab. Once installed, Verify that the latch is not damaged and fully secured in the latched position

     

     

     

165. Install nut securing RDU HV cable bracket to HV battery
     注

     1x nut, 10mm, 10 Nm

     

166. Remove HV insulating gloves

     

167. Position HV battery rear skid plate enclosure
     注

168. Install upper bolts securing HV battery rear skid plate enclosure hand tight

169. Install lower bolts securing HV battery rear skid plate enclosure

170. Torque bolts securing HV battery rear skid plate enclosure to vehicle

171. Install RH side hose clips to rear battery skid plate

172. Install LH side hose clip to rear battery skid plate

174. Position coolant drain container underneath front of HV battery

     4x spring clips, Remove plugs, Perform push-pull test to verify hoses are fully engaged. Loss of coolant greater than 1L requires coolant vacuum fill

     

     

     

     

     

     

176. Position coolant drain container underneath LH front of HV battery

     

177. Connect HV battery front manifold coolant hose
     注

     1x spring clip, Remove plugs, Perform push-pull test to verify hoses are fully engaged. Loss of coolant greater than 1L requires coolant vacuum fill

     

     

178. Install Chiller to Battery hose to Dash Crossmember
     注

     1x clip

     

179. Connect HV battery coolant return hose
     注

     1x spring clip, Remove plugs, Perform push-pull test to verify hoses are fully engaged. Loss of coolant greater than 1L requires coolant vacuum fill

     

     

180. Position coolant drain container underneath RH front of HV battery

     

181. Connect bypass powertrain return hose
     注

     1x spring clip, Remove plugs, Perform push-pull test to verify hoses are fully engaged. Loss of coolant greater than 1L requires coolant vacuum fill

     

     

182. Connect powertrain supply hose
     注

     1x spring clip, Remove plugs, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hose is fully engaged. Loss of coolant greater than 1L requires coolant vacuum fill

     

     

183. Remove coolant drain container from underneath vehicle

     

184. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

     

185. Connect AC compressor HV harness connector to HV Ancillary harness
     注

     1x locking connector, 3 stage locking connector, After the connector is seated and there is an audible click, Engage the second lock by pressing towards the connector, Engage locking tab

     

     

186. Remove HV insulating gloves

     

187. Install front skid plate
     注

     4x bolts, EP10, 13 Nm, 2x tabs, Position and move backward to installation

     

     

     

188. Release LH front wheel liner from bungee strap
     注

     Remove strap from vehicle

     

189. Install LH front wheel liner from skid plate
     注

     1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm

     

190. Install clip securing LH wheel liner to body
     注

     1x push clip

     

191. Release RH front wheel liner from bungee strap
     注

     Remove strap from vehicle

193. Move rack arms away from vehicle

     

     

194. Install butyl patches onto LH rocker access holes

     2x butyl patches, Apply pressure along patch to verify fully secured to body, Replace with new patch, Cut to the required size, Roughly 2" x 2 1/2"

     

     

195. Install LH rocker carrier onto body
     注

     10x clips, 1x location pin

     

     

     

     

196. Install bolts securing LH rocker carrier to body
     注

     2x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm

     

197. Install LH rocker cover onto rocker carrier
     注

     11x clips, 11x tabs, 1x location pin, Tabs go into cavities on rocker carrier and cannot be accessed from outer side of cover, Ensure that all tabs are installed properly

     

     

198. Install clips securing LH rocker cover and rocker carrier to LH front wheel liner
     注

203. Install nut securing DCDC ground busbar to HV battery

     1x nyloc nut, 13mm, 9 Nm, Install new nyloc nut

     

204. Install positive 12V output from PCS cable and torque nut securing it
     注

     1x nut, 13mm, 9 Nm, Install new nut, Mark the nut after torque

     

205. Install positive 12V output cover to PCS cable
     注

     1x cover

     

206. Remove logic cap and connect HVC logic connector
     注

     1x connector, 1x logic cap, Align connector then pull the handle to locking position get connector fully seated

     

     

207. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

     

208. Clean HV connector contact surface of residual Penetrox
     注

     Allow 1 minute dry time, New busbar comes with penetrox applied to HV connector

     

209. Clean busbar HV connector contact surface of residual Penetrox
     注

     Allow 1 minute dry time after removing Penetrox, It is necessary to clean HV connector during re-use of busbar

     

210. Apply Penetrox onto HV connector joints
     注

     Apply 2 drops of Penetrox A-13 about 5mm in diameter to either side of the hole on both leads, Spread evenly to verify the contact surface is fully covered

     

     

211. Remove Inflatable Air Bag from under HV header

     

212. Position busbar kit connector and lower onto HV header
     注

     4x guide tabs, Shift rear end of busbar assembly upward to help ease installation, If excessive force is required to seat busbars, They may have been bent. Inspect for damage and replace if necessary

     

213. Install bolts securing charge port busbar kit to HV header
     注

     2x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm, Mark after torque

     

214. Perform a zero adjust of the Hioki resistance meter. See 电阻表（零点调节）.
215. Perform Hioki resistance test at each HV joint from HV busbar lead to bolt head
     注

     2x HV joints, The acceptable resistance is between 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ) and 0.195 mΩ (195 μΩ). If the resistance is greater than 0.195 mΩ (195 μΩ), stop work and escalate the Toolbox session. If the resistance is lower than 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), reposition the probes and measure again. If the resistance is repeatedly between 0.00 mΩ and 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), Hioki test passed, proceed to next step

     

     

216. Install fastener securing busbar cover access door
     注

     1x bolt, 10mm, 9 Nm

     

217. Position LH rear body harness under LH lower C pillar trim

     

218. Install LH body harness onto rear body
     注

     1x clip

     

219. Partially install LH B-pillar lower trim
     注

     1x push clip

     

220. Perform a cooling system vacuum refill. See 冷却系统 - 真空再充注.
221. Connect the LV power. See 低压电源（断开和连接）.
222. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See 网关（解锁）.

229. Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See A 柱下部饰板 - 左 ((拆卸和更换)).
230. Install RH front primary door seal
     注

     Verify seal is seated properly on all trim panels

     

     

231. Move RH front seat forward
     注

     Adjust seat back if needed to avoid contacting headliner

     

232. Torque both LH front inner HV battery bolts
     注

     2x bolts, EP20, 136 Nm

     

233. Install LH front cabin carpet support access plugs
     注

     1x plug

     

234. Fold LH front cabin carpet back to original position

     

235. Install the LH side center console panel. See 中控台左侧饰板 ((拆卸和更换)).
236. Connect E-CALL speaker connector
     注

     1x connector

     

237. Install OBD port
     注

     2x tabs, Ensure black tabs in lock position

     

     

238. Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A 柱下部饰板 - 左 ((拆卸和更换)).
239. Move LH front seat forward
     注

     Adjust seat back if needed to avoid contacting headliner

     

240. Torque LH rear inner HV battery bolt
     注

     1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm, Located below LH rear main carpet

     

241. Torque RH rear inner battery bolt
     注

     1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm, Located below RH rear main carpet

     

242. Remove air bag from between rear cabin carpet and body

     

243. Torque LH middle inner HV battery bolt
     注

     1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm

     

244. Fold LH side of rear main carpet to its original position

     

245. Torque RH middle inner HV battery bolt
     注

     1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm

     

246. Fold RH side of rear main carpet to its original position

     

247. Install the 2nd row RH seat assembly. See 第二排座椅（ 5 座）- 40% ((拆卸和安装)).
248. Install the 2nd row LH and center seat assembly. See 第二排座椅（ 5 座）- 60% ((拆卸和安装)).
249. Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary
     注

     Ensure that fluid level is at Max line, Vacuum fill required if greater than 1L lost during repair

     

250. Install coolant bottle cap
