Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to perform this procedure:

  • High Voltage (HV) insulating gloves
  • Leather glove protectors
  • High voltage glove tester
  • Safety glasses
  • Electrical hazard rated safety shoes

A glove inflator is the only recommended way to test HV gloves. Both HV gloves must pass testing before beginning this procedure. If either glove does not pass the air check, discard the pair.

确保高压绝缘手套未过期。
  • 北美：高压绝缘手套有效期为印在手套上的测试日期后 12 个月内，但首次使用后，即使手套仍处于上述 12 个月有效期内，也只能使用 6 个月。如果手套未在测试日期后的 12 个月内使用，则在使用前必须再次进行测试。
  • 欧洲：等级为 0 (1000V) 的高压绝缘手套无有效期，只要通过使用前评估和定期检查即可使用。
  • 亚太地区：遵循高压绝缘手套制造商提供的失效日期，并且：

拆卸

  1. Remove the trunk tub. See 后备箱下部储物槽（Model Y L） ((拆卸和更换)).
  2. Remove the 3rd row seat cushion. See 座椅坐垫 - 第三排座椅（Model Y L） ((拆卸和更换)).
  3. Remove the 3rd row LH bolster. See 围板 - 座椅坐垫 - 第三排座椅 - 左侧（Model Y L） ((拆卸和更换)).
  4. Remove the 3rd row RH bolster. See 围板 - 座椅坐垫 - 第三排座椅 - 右侧（Model Y L） ((拆卸和更换)).
  5. Open the hood and the charge port door.
  6. Disconnect the LV battery power. See 低压电源（锂）（断开和连接） (Modify).
  7. Perform the charge port voltage check. See 充电接口电压检查.
  8. Remove the 3rd row seatback complete. See 座椅靠背 - 完整件 - 第三排座椅（Model Y L） ((拆卸和安装)).
  9. Remove the LH trunk side trim. See 后备箱侧饰板 - 左侧（Model Y L） ((拆卸和更换)).
  10. Release the LH upper C pillar trim clips from the body, and then move it aside.

    Do not remove the decorative trim after it is released, as there is a charging port release cable and seat switch connector at the rear of the trim.
  11. Inspect and put on the HV insulating gloves and the leather over gloves.
  12. Remove the charge port safety cap (2x tabs, 3x clips).

    Gently release the tabs to avoid damage. Do not apply excess force.

  1. Install the charge port safety cap (2x tabs, 3x clips).

    Push firmly to lock the safety cap into place.
  2. Remove the leather over gloves and the HV insulating gloves.
  3. Secure the LH upper C pillar trim clips to the body.

    When installing, it is necessary to note that the air vents must be fully joined. Seat the seal around the edge of the trim.
  4. Install the LH trunk side trim. See 后备箱侧饰板 - 左侧（Model Y L） ((拆卸和更换)).
  5. Install the 3rd row seatback complete. See 座椅靠背 - 完整件 - 第三排座椅（Model Y L） ((拆卸和安装)).
  6. Connect the LV battery power. See 低压电源（锂）（断开和连接） (Modify).
  7. Close the charge port door.
  8. Install the 3rd row RH bolster. See 围板 - 座椅坐垫 - 第三排座椅 - 右侧（Model Y L） ((拆卸和更换)).
  9. Install the 3rd row LH bolster. See 围板 - 座椅坐垫 - 第三排座椅 - 左侧（Model Y L） ((拆卸和更换)).
