Bracket - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Move the driver seat rearward.
  3. Remove the LH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the LH sun visor bezel A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Sun Visor Bezel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the LH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Release the clip that attaches the LH sun visor harness to the A-pillar, and then disconnect the electrical connector.
  8. Release the clips (x2) that attach the harness to the LH upper A-pillar bracket.
  9. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH upper A-pillar bracket to the vehicle, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10mm socket

Install

  1. Position the LH upper A-pillar bracket into the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the bracket to the vehicle.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10mm socket
  2. Secure the clips (x2) that attach the harness to the LH upper A-pillar bracket.
  3. Secure the clip that attaches the LH sun visor harness to the A-pillar, and then connect the electrical connector.
  4. Install the LH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the LH sun visor bezel A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Sun Visor Bezel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the LH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Move the driver seat to the original position.
  9. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
