Luggage Hook Tie Down - 3rd Row Seat Back - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH falcon wing door.
  2. Open the liftgate.
  3. Fold the 2nd row 60 seat downwards.
  4. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  5. Fold the LH 3rd row seat downwards.
  6. Remove the LH 3rd row seat back carpet. See Seat Back Carpet - 3rd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Release the tabs (x4), fir tree clips (x2), and J hook that attach the lower section of the LH 3rd row seat upholstery to the seat.

    Note
    Pull the tabs inward, and then upwards to release.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
  8. Unfold the LH 3rd row seat into original position.

    Note
    Leave the headrest in folded position.
  9. Release the J-hook clip that attaches the upper half of the LH 3rd row seat upholstery to the seat.
  10. Drill out the rivets (x8) that attach the rear seat back panel to the LH 3rd row seat frame.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Drill 1/2in chuck electric
    • 3/16" Hex bit
  11. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH 3rd row seat back luggage hook tie down to the seat frame, and then remove the hook tie down from the vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Torx Plus T45 socket

Install

  1. Position the LH 3rd row seat back luggage hook tie down on the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the hook tie down to the seat frame.
    45 Nm (33.2 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Torx Plus T45 socket
  2. Install the rivets (x8) that attach the rear seat back panel to the LH 3rd row seat frame.

    • Blind rivet tool - 1054713-00-A
  3. Engage the J hook clip that attaches the upper half of LH 3rd row seat upholstery to the seat.

    Note
    Fold the seat to a workable position, start at one end of the J hook clip, and then fold the clip inwards until the other end of the upholstery is fully tucked.
  4. Engage the tabs (x4), fir tree clips (x2), and J hook that attach the lower section of the LH 3rd row seat upholstery to the seat.
  5. Install the LH 3rd row seat back carpet. See Seat Back Carpet - 3rd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  7. Unfold the LH 3rd row seat into original position.
  8. Close the liftgate.
  9. Unfold the 2nd row 60 seat into original position.
  10. Close the LH falcon door.
