Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the liftgate and LH rear door.
  2. Fold the LH 3rd row seat back into the down position.
  3. Remove the LH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the screws (x3) and discard the bolt that attaches the upper LH C-pillar trim to the LH mid C-pillar zone bracket.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
    • Torx T25 socket
  6. Release the clips (x6) that attach the LH upper C-pillar trim to the body and remove the upper C-pillar trim from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Install the LH upper C-pillar trim to the body and then fasten the clips (x6) that attach the upper C-pillar trim to the body.
  2. Install the screws (x3) and a new bolt to attach the upper LH C-pillar trim to the LH mid C-pillar zone bracket.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Torque the T20 screws to 2 Nm, and the T25 bolts to 3 Nm.

  3. Install the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the LH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Fold the LH 3rd row seat back into the up position.
  6. Close the liftgate and LH rear door.
