Motor - Seat Height - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the front windows.
  2. Remove the driver seat from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Install).
  3. Disconnect the driver seat RH footwell LED electrical connector.
  4. Disconnect the driver seat track position sensor electrical connector.
  5. Disconnect the driver seat height adjuster track motor electrical connector.
  6. Disconnect the driver seat seat track motor electrical connector.
  7. Release the clip that attaches the driver seat harness to the track bridge.
  8. Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the driver seat height adjuster lead screw tube to the RH side rear link.
    18 Nm (13.3 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T40 socket
  9. Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the driver seat height motor to the seat assembly, and then remove the motor from the assembly.
    23 Nm (17.0 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T50 socket

Install

  1. Position the driver seat height motor into the seat assembly, and then install a new bolt that attaches the motor to the assembly.
    23 Nm (17.0 lbs-ft)

  2. Install a new bolt that attaches the driver seat height adjuster lead screw tube to the RH side rear link.
    18 Nm (13.3 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T40 socket
  3. Connect the driver seat height adjuster motor electrical connector.
  4. Connect the driver seat track motor electrical connector.
  5. Secure the clip that attaches the driver seat harness to the track bridge.
  6. Connect the driver seat track position sensor electrical connector.
  7. Connect the driver seat right footwell LED electrical connector.
  8. Install the driver seat. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Install).
  9. Perform a seat calibration. See Seat - 1st Row (Calibration).
  10. Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
