Bracket - Racetrack - B-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower the front windows.
  2. Remove the LH front racetrack trim. See Racetrack Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH curtain airbag to the LH upper B-pillar racetrack bracket, and then release the airbag from the bracket.
  4. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH upper B-pillar racetrack bracket to the vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T25 socket
  5. Remove the nuts (x4) that attach the LH upper B-pillar racetrack bracket to the vehicle, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.

    • 10mm socket

Install

  1. Position the LH upper B-pillar racetrack bracket into the vehicle, and then install the nuts (x4) that attach the bracket to the vehicle.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)

    • 10mm socket
  2. Install the bolt that attaches the LH upper B-pillar racetrack bracket to the vehicle.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)

    • T25 socket
  3. Secure the clips (x2) that attach the LH curtain airbag to the LH upper B-pillar racetrack bracket.
  4. Install the LH front racetrack trim. See Racetrack Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Raise the front windows and close all the doors.
