Remove
- Open the hood.
- Use the center display to power off the vehicle.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).

Release the clips (x2) that attach the
LH hood gas strut to the hood and body, and then remove the strut from the
vehicle.
Install

Position the LH hood gas strut into
the vehicle, press each end of the strut firmly into the ball socket, and then secure
the clips (x2).
- Install the LH underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
