Antenna Amplifier - FM (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the lower liftgate trim. See Trim - Liftgate - Lower (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the liftgate speaker trim. See Grille - Speaker - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the liftgate upper trim. See Trim - Upper - Liftgate (Remove and Replace)
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the FM antenna amplifier.
  5. Remove the bolt that attaches the FM antenna amplifier to the liftgate.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  6. Carefully pry the FM antenna amplifier away from the liftgate to release the retainer, and then remove the amplifier from the liftgate.

Install

  1. Position the FM antenna amplifier into the liftgate, and then secure the retainer that attaches the amplifier to the liftgate.

    Press the amplifier into the liftgate to seat the retainer.

    Make sure the datum is aligned and the retainer clips is secure.
  2. Install the bolt that attaches the FM antenna amplifier to the liftgate.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T30 socket
  3. Connect the electrical connectors (x2) to the FM antenna amplifier.
  4. Install the liftgate upper trim. See Trim - Upper - Liftgate (Remove and Replace)
  5. Install the liftgate speaker trim. See Grille - Speaker - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the lower liftgate trim. See Trim - Liftgate - Lower (Remove and Replace).
