Harness - Fascia - Front (Remove and Replace)

Remove - HW3

  1. Remove the front fascia assembly from the vehicle. See Fascia Assembly - Front (Remove and Install).
  2. Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the front BLE electrical connector.

    CAUTION
    DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
  3. Disconnect the radar heater electrical connector.
  4. Disconnect the LH and RH front fog light electrical connectors.

  5. Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the pedestrian warning speaker electrical connector.

    CAUTION
    DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
  6. Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the front parking distance sensor electrical connectors (x4).

    DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
  7. Release the clips (x9) that attach the front fascia harness to the front fascia assembly, and then remove the harness from the assembly.

Remove - HW4

  1. Open the LH front door.
  2. Lower both front windows.
  3. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails
  4. Set air suspension ride height to “Very High”

  5. Turn steering wheel fully to the right
  6. Open the hood.
  7. Remove the rear underhood apron.
  8. Remove the LH underhood apron.
  9. Remove the RH underhood apron.
  10. Remove the front underhood apron.
  11. Remove bolts securing upper portion of front fascia

  12. Remove clips securing LH front wheel liner to valence

    1x bolt, T30, Torque 2 Nm, 3x clips. Move front portion of wheel liner backwards to access fairing.
  13. Remove LH front wheel fairing from valence

  14. Partially remove front portion of LH front fender garnish

  15. Remove bolt securing LH front of fascia to LH front fender

  16. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails
  17. Turn steering wheel fully to the left
  18. Remove clips securing RH front wheel liner to valence

  19. Remove RH front wheel fairing from valence

  20. Partially remove front portion of RH front fender garnish

  21. Remove bolt securing RH front of fascia to RH front fender

  22. Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.
  23. Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.
  24. Remove fasteners securing lower portion of front fascia to valence

  25. Apply masking tape to protect LH and RH front fenders
  26. Remove front fascia assembly from vehicle

    Recommend assistance, Release fascia from LH and RH fender brackets, Place on protected surface to avoid damage
  27. Disconnect front fascia assembly

  28. Disconnect LH front fascia lamp

  30. Remove LV jumper wires from access cover

    2x wires, Squeeze retaining tabs together and gently remove wires from cover
  31. Disconnect front BLE

Install - HW3

  1. Position the front fascia harness into the front fascia assembly, and then secure the clips (x9) that attach the harness to the assembly.
  2. Connect the front parking distance sensor electrical connectors (x4), and then engage the locking tabs.
  3. Connect the pedestrian warning speaker electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.
  4. Connect the LH and RH front fog light electrical connectors.

  5. Connect the radar heater mat electrical connector.
  6. Connect the front BLE electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.
  7. Install the front fascia assembly onto the vehicle. See Fascia Assembly - Front (Remove and Install).

  1. Install front fascia harness onto front fascia assembly

  10. Remove masking tape from front fenders
  11. Install bolt securing fascia to RH fender bracket

  12. Install RH front fender garnish

    2x clips, 8x tabs, Secure from top to bottom of front bumper
  13. Install RH front wheel fairing to valence

  14. Install push clips securing RH front wheel liner onto fascia

  15. Connect the First Responder Loop and LV battery connector.
  16. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails
  17. Turn steering wheel fully to the right
  18. Install bolt securing fascia onto LH fender bracket

  19. Install LH front fender garnish

  20. Install LH front wheel fairing to valence

  21. Install push clips securing LH front wheel liner to valence

  22. Install fasteners securing lower portion of front fascia to valence

  23. Install bolts securing upper portion of front fascia

    4x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm, Ensure proper fascia-to-headlamp gap and flushness
  24. Install the front underhood apron.
  25. Install the LH underhood apron.
  26. Install the RH underhood apron.
  27. Install the rear underhood apron.
  28. Close the hood.
  29. Calibrate the RH falcon wing door.
  30. Calibrate the LH falcon wing door.
  31. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails
  32. Turn steering wheel back to center
  33. Set air suspension ride height to "Standard"

  34. Raise both front windows.
  35. Close the LH front door.
