Speaker - Dash - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the IP sub-assembly. See Sub Assembly - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace)
  2. Remove and discard the IP sub-assembly seal.
  3. Remove the screws (x9) that attach the dash speaker mesh to the IP sub-assembly, then remove the dash speaker mesh.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 2 in extension
  4. Remove the screws (x3) and disconnect the electrical connector that attach LH dash speaker to the IP sub-assembly.

    • Torx T20 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Install

  1. Connect the electrical connector and install the screws (x3) that attach LH dash speaker to the IP sub-assembly.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T20 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Wurth ¼ in hexagon 1 Nm - 5 Nm torque wrench (installation only)
  2. Install the screws (x9) that attach the dash speaker mesh to the IP sub-assembly.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)

    • Wurth ¼ in hexagon 1 Nm - 5 Nm torque wrench (installation only)
    • 2 in extension
  3. Use IPA wipes to clean around the seal and install IP sub-assembly seal.
  4. Install the IP sub-assembly. See Sub Assembly - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace)
