Hinge - Door - Front - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the front windows.
  2. Use a floor jack to support the LH front door.

    CAUTION
    Protect painted surface with a soft object.
  3. Tape the LH lower front door hinge area on the body side to mark the hinge location.
  4. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH lower front door hinge to the LH front door.
    24 Nm (17.7 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 12mm socket
  5. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH lower front door hinge to the body, and then remove the hinge from the vehicle.
    25 Nm (18.4 lbs-ft)

Install

  1. Position the LH lower front door hinge into the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the hinge to the vehicle.
    25 Nm (18.4 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 12mm socket
  2. Position the LH lower front door hinge onto the LH front door, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the hinge to the door.
    24 Nm (17.7 lbs-ft)

  3. Remove the floor jack from the LH front door.
  4. Check the gap and flush of the front door to the surrounding components and adjust as necessary.

    Note
    Refer to CVIS for current gap/flush specifications.
  5. Use IPA wipes to clean the body side of the LH lower front door hinge bolts.

    Note
    Allow 1 minute of dry time.
  6. Apply touch up paint to the LH lower front door hinge body side bolts as necessary.
  7. Remove the masking tape.
  8. Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
