1. Open the LH front door.
2. Lower the LH front window.
3. Lower LH rear window
4. Open LH falcon wing door
5. Remove LH falcon door lower garnish
   Note

   9x V-clips, Replace any damaged or missing clips, Take care not to damage door trim panel during removal

   

   

6. Remove LH rear decor trim panel
   Note

   7x clips, 2x connectors

   

   

   

7. Remove bolts securing LH rear door panel to door
   Note

   8x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

   

8. Raise LH rear window

   

9. Disconnect ultrasonic ECU
   Note

   1x connector, Release black locking tab

   

10. Remove LH rear door trim panel
    Note

    13x clips, 2x connectors

    

    

11. Open the hood.

    

12. Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.

    

13. Remove the rear underhood apron.

    

    

14. Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.

    

    

    

15. Disconnect 2nd row head air bag connector
    Note

    1x connector, Release orange lock and then disconnect

    

16. Remove bolts securing LH closeout panel to falcon door
    Note

    10x bolts, T25, 8mm, 1.8 Nm

    

    

17. Release window motor from LH closeout panel
    Note

    3x screws, T30, 1.8 Nm

    

18. Disconnect LH rear door controller
    Note

    2x connectors

    

19. Release clips securing lower falcon door harnesses and connectors to LH closeout panel
    Note

    7x clips

    

20. Release emergence release cable
    Note

    Unclip and feed door release cable through LH closeout panel

    

21. Release LH rear closeout panel
    Note

    2x tabs, Pull LH closeout panel away from door and lift window motor up to release

    

    

22. Remove LH rear closeout panel
    Note

    1x clip

    

23. Remove spacer, spring, and cap from LH ultrasonic sensor

    

    

24. Disconnect LH ultrasonic sensor
    Note

    1x connector, 1x clip

    

    

25. Remove LH ultrasonic sensor

    

26. Remove LH sensor carrier
    Note

    Use heat gun to apply heat up to about 55 Celsius or 131 Fahrenheit and distance around 18 cm diameter of sensor carrier assembly to cover the 3 mounting areas, Used one hand to feel the areas behind the door skin to assure the heating areas locations

    

    

    

27. Remove LH Butyl Ultrasonic Holder
    Note

    Use only plastic pry tools to assist pulling the butyl patch, pull as vertical as possible

    

28. Clean LH Butyl Ultrasonic Holder leftovers
    Note

    Use only plastic tools, heating the butyl for a few seconds helps the use of IPA wipes, make sure the surface is completely clean and dry

    

    

29. Prepare Butyl Ultrasonic Holder
    Note

    Place the patch with the wrap on the door and note the correct orientation, remove the wrap without touching the butyl area, clean the door installation location with IPA wipes one more time

    

    

30. Install LH Butyl Ultrasonic Holder
    Note

    Place it as flat as possible on the door, make sure the sensor holder holes are properly aligned

    

31. Flatten LH Butyl Ultrasonic Holder
    Note

    Use pressure roller from the center outwards to press the butyl patch and remove bubble gaps and creases

    

    

32. Clean LH ultrasonic mounting area
    Note

    Use IPA wipes or isopropyl alcohol to clean the area, allow 1 minute to dry

    

33. Apply adhesion promoter to LH ultrasonic mounting area
    Note

    Allow 1 minute to dry

    

34. Heat up LH Falcon door panel
    Note

    Use heat gun and heat up the door skin. If necessary, use the infrared thermometer to check the temperature of door panel to at least 25 degrees C (77 degrees F) evenly

    

35. Install LH sensor carrier
    Note

    Peel off stickers prior install, install with harness slot in lower position, use the force gauge to apply a force of 70 N to the top of each of the carrier pads for at least 10 seconds.

    

    

36. Prepare LH Ultrasonic sensor for installation
    Note

    Use heat gun and IR temp gun to read temperature of door panel to install Ultrasonic sensor, heat up LH Falcon door panel to 25º C and sensor to 40º -50º C, use heat gun and IR temp gun as needed

    

    

37. Install LH ultrasonic sensor

    

    

38. Use force gauge to press sensor into door and secure
    Note

    Attach the 22 mm tip to the force gauge, Press @ 50N for 10 seconds

    

39. Install spacer, spring, and cap to secure LH ultrasonic sensor

    

    

40. Connect LH ultrasonic sensor
    Note

    1x connector, 1x clip, Engage red locking tab after securing connect

    

    

41. Secure window regulator harness
    Note

    1x clip

    

42. Install release cable through LH closeout panel

    

43. Position LH window motor onto back of closeout panel
    Note

    2x tabs

    

    

44. Install window motor to closeout panel
    Note

    3x screws, T30, 1.8 Nm

    

45. Install LH closeout panel
    Note

    10x bolts, T25, 8mm, 1.8 Nm

    

    

46. Connect ultrasonic ECU
    Note

    1x connector, securing locking tab

    

47. Connect LH 2nd row head air bag connector
    Note

    1x connector, Engage locking tab

    

48. Connect LH rear door controller
    Note

    2x connectors

    

49. Install clips securing harnesses and connectors to LH closeout panel
    Note

    7x clips

    

50. Install LH rear door trim panel
    Note

    2x connectors, 13x clips, Install door trim starting from top and make sure the door trim tab is fitted correctly on the inner belt seal

    

    

51. Install bolts securing LH rear door panel to door
    Note

    8x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

52. Install LH rear door decor trim panel
    Note

    7x clips, 2x connectors, Take care not to damage door trim panel

    

    

    

53. Install LH rear lower door garnish
    Note

    9x V-clips

    

    

54. Connect the First Responder Loop and LV battery connector.

    

    

55. Install the rear underhood apron.

    

    

56. Close the hood.
57. Calibrate LH and RH Falcon Wing doors from center display
    Note

    Calibration required after LV system is powered down > Service > Calibrate Doors > Hold down Calibrate doors until doors cycle > Calibration Complete Message will appear

    

    

    

    

58. Raise the LH front window.
59. Close the LH front door.
