Handle - Exterior Release - Door - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH rear door glass. See Door Glass - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect the LH rear door exterior release handle electrical connector.
  3. Release the clip that attaches the LH rear door exterior release handle harness to the LH rear door.
  4. Pull back the butyl patches (x3) to expose the LH rear door exterior release handle fasteners.
  5. Remove the nuts (x3) that attach the LH rear door exterior release handle to the door assembly.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10mm socket
  6. Remove the LH rear door exterior release handle from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the LH rear door exterior release handle into the vehicle.
  2. Install the nuts (x3) that attach the LH rear door exterior release handle to the door assembly.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)

    • 10mm socket
  3. Secure the butyl patches (x3) that covers the LH rear door exterior release handle fastener access holes.
  4. Secure the clip that attaches the LH rear door exterior release handle harness to the LH rear door.
  5. Connect the LH rear door exterior release handle electrical connector.
  6. Remove the LH rear door glass. See Door Glass - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
