Hinge - Door - Front - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the front windows.
  2. Tape the LH upper front door hinge area on the body side to mark the hinge location.
  3. Remove the pivot pin bolt that attaches the LH front door drive unit to the vehicle.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T30 socket
  4. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH upper front door hinge to the LH front door.
    24 Nm (17.7 lbs-ft)

    • 12mm socket
  5. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the LH upper front door hinge to the body, and then remove the hinge from the vehicle.
    25 Nm (18.4 lbs-ft)

Install

  1. Position the LH upper front door hinge onto the LH front door, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the hinge to the door.
    24 Nm (17.7 lbs-ft)

    • 12mm socket
  2. Position the LH upper front door hinge onto the body side, and then install the bolts (x3) that attach the hinge to the body.
    25 Nm (18.4 lbs-ft)

  3. Install the pivot pin bolt that attaches the LH front door drive unit to the vehicle.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  4. Remove the masking tape.
  5. Close the LH front door.
  6. Check the gap and flush of the LH front door to the surrounding components and adjust as necessary.

    Refer to CVIS for current gap/flush specifications.
  7. Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
