Actuator - Intake (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the instrument panel sub-assembly from the vehicle. See Sub Assembly - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    It is not necessary to remove components from the sub-assembly after the entire assembly has been removed from the instrument panel.
  2. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the intake actuator to the HVAC assembly, and then release the actuator from the assembly.
    2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  3. Disconnect the intake actuator electrical connector, remove and discard the zip tie that attaches the harness to the actuator, and then remove the actuator from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the intake actuator into the vehicle, connect the actuator electrical connector, and then install a new zip tie that attaches the harness to the actuator.

    Route the harness on top of the actuator.

    Note
    Remove excess zip tie after tightening.
  2. Install the screws (x2) that attach the intake actuator to the HVAC assembly.
    2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)
