Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Remove the LH front brake dust shield. See Shield - Dust - Brake - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove and discard the nut that
attaches the front stabilizer bar link to the LH front suspension knuckle, and then move
the link aside.70 Nm (51.6 lbs-ft)TIpCounter hold the ball joint with a 5mm hex.TIpMove the stabilizer bar up/down as needed to remove the end link.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket
- 5 mm hex

Remove and discard the nut that
attaches the LH aft link to the LH front suspension knuckle, and then release the link
from the knuckle.180 Nm (132.7 lbs-ft)TIpCounter hold the stud with a T45 socket and use a wrench to loosen the nut.NoteThe washer is a Nord-lock washer.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 22 mm socket
- Torx T45 socket

Remove and discard the nut that
attaches the LH fore link to the LH front suspension knuckle, and then release the link
from the knuckle.180 Nm (132.7 lbs-ft)TIpUse a breaker bar to break the nut loose.TIpCounter hold the stud with a T45 socket and use a wrench to loosen the nut.NoteThe washer is a Nord-lock washer.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 22 mm socket
- Torx T45 socket

Remove and discard the nut that
attaches the LH tie rod to the knuckle assembly, and then release the tie rod from the
knuckle.102 Nm (75.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket

Remove the nut and bolt that attach
the LH front upper control arm to the suspension assembly, and then release the control
arm from the assembly.60 Nm (44.2 lbs-ft)NoteDiscard the nut after removal.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket
- Torx T50 socket
- Remove the LH front knuckle from the vehicle.
Install
- Position the LH front suspension knuckle around the halfshaft, rest the knuckle on the fore and aft links, and then secure the assembly by inserting the bolt that attaches the knuckle to the front upper control arm.

Position the LH front upper control
arm to the suspension assembly, and then install the bolt and new nut that attach the
control arm to the assembly.60 Nm (44.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket
- Torx T50 socket

Position the LH tie rod to the LH
front suspension knuckle assembly, and then install a new nut that attaches the tie rod
to the knuckle.102 Nm (75.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket

Position the LH fore link to the LH
front suspension knuckle, and then install a new nut that attaches the link to the
knuckle.

Position the LH aft link to the LH
front suspension knuckle, and then install a new nut that attaches the link to the

- Install the LH front brake dust shield. See Shield - Dust - Brake - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Refer to the Alignment Requirement tables to determine whether an EPAS alignment check (EC) or four wheel alignment check (AC) is necessary. If performed, add the alignment check/adjust as a separate activity. See Alignment Requirement - Suspension.
