Tuner - FM / HD / XM (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the lower liftgate trim. See Trim - Liftgate - Lower (Remove and Replace)
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) and coax connector from the FM HD tuner.
  3. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the HD FM tuner to the liftgate, and then remove the tuner from the liftgate.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

Install

  1. Position the HD FM tuner into the liftgate, and then install the bolts (x3) that attach the tuner to the liftgate.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  2. Connect the electrical connectors (x2) and coax connector to the FM HD tuner.
  3. Install the lower liftgate trim. See Trim - Liftgate - Lower (Remove and Replace)
  4. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  5. In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then type "Tuner" in the search field.
  6. Click the play button next to PING-BASH_TUNER, and then click Run.
  7. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
