Fascia Assembly - Rear (HW4) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door.
  2. Lower the LH front window.
  3. Set air suspension ride height to “Very High”

  4. Open the hood.
  5. Open liftgate
  6. Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.
  7. Remove the rear underhood apron.
  8. Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.
  9. Remove RH liftgate stop from vehicle

  11. Remove bolt securing LH top of fascia to bracket

    1x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, Lift up on the outer section where upper trough and lower trough meet, Be cautious not to remove double sided tape, This will allow access to the bolt without fully removing trim
  12. Remove bolt securing RH top of fascia to bracket

    1x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, Lift up on the outer section where upper trough and lower trough meet, Be cautious not to remove double sided tape, This will allow access to the bolt without fully removing trim
  13. Remove clip and bolts securing RH rear fender garnish and arch liner

  14. Partially release RH rear fender garnish from rear fascia

  21. Apply masking tape to protect RH rear quarter panel
  22. Apply masking tape to protect LH rear quarter panel
  23. Remove rear fascia from vehicle

    2x connectors, 24x tabs, 1st release LH and RH fascia edges from fender brackets, 2nd Pull fascia rearward to detach from vehicle, 3rd reach in and disconnect both BLE connectors before setting fascia on the bench, Recommended assistance, Place on protected surface
  24. Remove both RH and LH BLE assembly's from rear fascia

  3. Install both RH and LH BLE assembly's onto rear fascia

  4. Install rear fascia onto vehicle

    2x connectors, 24x tabs, Secure BLE connectors first then secure fascia onto vehicle, Recommended assistance
  5. Remove masking tape from LH rear quarter panel
  6. Remove masking tape from RH rear quarter panel
  7. Install rear lower diffuser bolts to body

  8. Apply Loctite 222 to fasteners and secure rear lower valence onto rear fascia

  18. Install RH liftgate stop from vehicle

  20. Connect the First Responder Loop and LV battery connector.
  21. Close liftgate
  22. Install the rear underhood apron.
  23. Close the hood.
  24. Calibrate the RH falcon wing door.
  25. Calibrate the LH falcon wing door.
  26. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails
  27. Turn steering wheel back to center
  28. Set air suspension ride height to "Standard"

  29. Raise both front windows.
  30. Close the LH front door.
