Motor - Seat Track - 2nd Row - LH (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower the front windows.
  2. Remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Without 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH 2nd row seat slider. See Slider - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat outer track position sensor electrical connector.
  5. Cut the zip ties that attach the LH 2nd row seat harness to the harness bracket.
  6. With assistance, position the LH 2nd row seat onto the seat back.

    CAUTION
    Protect the seat back as necessary.

    Note
    Place weight on the upper portion of seat back.
  7. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat outer track to the seat assembly, maneuver the track to clear the studs, and then pull the track outward to release the seat track cable.
    30 Nm (22.1 lbs-ft)

    • 15 mm socket
  8. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat inner track to the seat assembly, maneuver the track to clear the studs, and then pull the track outward to release the seat track cable.
    30 Nm (22.1 lbs-ft)

  9. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat track motor electrical connector.
  10. Remove the screws (x4) that attach the LH 2nd row seat track motor assembly to the angle brackets, and then remove the seat track motor from the brackets.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)

    Feed the harness through the base of the seat.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  11. Lift the LH 2nd row seat track motor assembly upward to remove it from the track motor mount.
  12. Pull the track motor cables (x2) outward to remove them from the LH 2nd row seat track motor.
  13. Remove the rubber grommets (x2) from the LH 2nd row seat track motor.

Install

  1. Install the rubber grommets (x2) into the LH 2nd row seat track motor.
  2. Install the track motor cables (x2) into the LH 2nd row seat track motor.

    Note
    The cables are keyed and need to be installed to align with seat track motor.
  3. Position the LH 2nd row seat track motor onto the track motor mount, and then slide the motor downward to install it into the motor mount.
  4. Install the LH 2nd row seat track motor assembly into the angle brackets, and then install the screws (x4) that attach the seat track motor to the brackets.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)

    Feed the harness through the base of the seat.

  5. Connect the LH 2nd row seat track motor electrical connector.
  6. Position the LH 2nd row seat inner track onto the seat assembly, maneuver the track to engage the seat track cable, guide the studs into position, and then install the nuts (x2) that attach seat track to the seat assembly.
    30 Nm (22.1 lbs-ft)

  7. Position the LH 2nd row seat outer track onto the seat assembly, maneuver the track to engage the seat track cable, guide the studs into position, and then install the nuts (x2) that attach seat track to the seat assembly.
    30 Nm (22.1 lbs-ft)

  8. With assistance, position the LH 2nd row seat upright.
  9. Install zip ties that attach the LH 2nd row seat harness onto the harness bracket.
  10. Connect the LH 2nd row seat outer track position sensor electrical connector.

    Note
    Tuck the connector under the front strip to avoid damage when installing the outer cover.
  11. Install the LH 2nd row seat slider. See Slider - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the LH 2nd row seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Without 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Replace).
  13. Raise the front windows and close all the doors.
