Coil - EXV - Supermanifold (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect LV Power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  3. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  4. Pull out the red tab release the connector lock, then pull on the red tab again to disconnect the electrical harness from the high pressure PT High sensor connector.
  5. Pull out the red tab release the connector lock, then pull on the red tab again to disconnect the electrical harness from the electronic expansion valve recirculate connector.
  6. Pull out the red tab release the connector lock, then pull on the red tab again to disconnect the electrical harness from the electronic expansion valve liquid cooled condenser connector.
  7. Pull out the red tab release the connector lock, then pull on the red tab again to disconnect the electrical harness from the shut off valve liquid cooled condenser connector.
  8. Pull out the red tab release the connector lock, then pull on the red tab again to disconnect the electrical harness from the electronic expansion valve cabin condenser right connector.
  9. Pull out the red tab release the connector lock, then pull on the red tab again to disconnect the electrical harness from the high pressure PT sub cool sensor connector.
  10. Pull out the red tab release the connector lock, then pull on the red tab again to disconnect the electrical harness from the electronic expansion valve cabin condenser left connector.
  11. Pull out the red tab release the connector lock, then pull on the red tab again to disconnect the electrical harness from the electronic expansion valve chiller connector.
  12. Pull out the red tab release the connector lock, then pull on the red tab again to disconnect the electrical harness from the electronic expansion valve evaporator connector.
  13. Move the electrical harness to the side, away from the front of the supermanifold.
  14. Use a flat blade screwdriver to release the locking tab at the bottom of the electronic expansion valve coil, and at the same time, slide the coil forward off of the electronic expansion valve body.

Install

  1. Slide a electronic expansion valve coil seal onto the electronic expansion valve body, position the electronic expansion valve coil locking tab to the protrusion on the Supermanifold, slide the coil onto the valve body until it clicks into place, and then perform a Push-Pull-Push check of the coil.

    Do not lubricate coil seal.
  2. Move the electrical harness back to the front of the Supermanifold.
  3. Connect the electrical harness to the electronic expansion valve evaporator connector, press the red tab in, and then perform a Push-Pull-Push check of the connector.
  4. Connect the electrical harness to the electronic expansion valve chiller connector, press the red tab in, and then perform a Push-Pull-Push check of the connector.
  5. Connect the electrical harness to the electronic expansion valve cabin condenser left connector, press the red tab in, and then perform a Push-Pull-Push check of the connector.
  6. Connect the electrical harness to the high pressure PT sub cool sensor connector, press the red tab in, and then perform a Push-Pull-Push check of the connector.
  7. Connect the electrical harness to the electronic expansion valve cabin condenser right connector, press the red tab in, and then perform a Push-Pull-Push check of the connector.
  8. Connect the electrical harness to the shut off valve liquid cooled condenser connector, press the red tab in, and then perform a Push-Pull-Push check of the connector.
  9. Connect the electrical harness to the electronic expansion valve liquid cooled condenser connector, press the red tab in, and then perform a Push-Pull-Push check of the connector.
  10. Connect the electrical harness to the electronic expansion valve recirculate connector, press the red tab in, and then perform a Push-Pull-Push check of the connector.
  11. Connect the electrical harness to the high pressure PT high sensor connector, press the red tab in, and then perform a Push-Pull-Push check of the connector.
  12. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  13. Connect LV Power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  14. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
