Bracket - Trim - Liftgate - Center (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Open the liftgate.
  3. Remove the lower liftgate trim. See Trim - Liftgate - Lower (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the liftgate speaker grille. See Grille - Speaker - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the upper liftgate trim. See Trim - Upper - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the LH and RH liftgate speakers. See Speaker - Liftgate - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the LH and RH liftgate tweeters. See Tweeter - Liftgate - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove and discard the bolts (x8) that attach the center liftgate trim bracket to the liftgate, and then remove the bracket from the liftgate.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

  9. Remove the clips (x4) from the center liftgate trim bracket.

    CAUTION
    Do not over stretch the clips when removing from the bracket.

Install

  1. Install the clips (x4) onto the center liftgate trim bracket.
  2. Position the center liftgate trim bracket onto the liftgate, and then install new bolts (x8) that attach the bracket to the liftgate.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

  3. Install the LH and RH liftgate tweeters. See Tweeter - Liftgate - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the LH and RH liftgate speakers. See Speaker - Liftgate - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the upper liftgate trim. See Trim - Upper - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the liftgate speaker grille. See Grille - Speaker - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the lower liftgate trim. See Trim - Liftgate - Lower (Remove and Replace).
  8. Close the liftgate.
  9. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
