Shaft - Inboard - Seat Track Motor - 2nd Row - LH (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower the front windows.
  2. Remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Without 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH 2nd row seat slider. See Slider - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  4. With assistance, position the LH 2nd row seat onto the seat back.

    CAUTION
    Protect the seat back as necessary.

    Note
    Place weight on the upper portion of seat back.
  5. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat outer track to the seat assembly, maneuver the track to clear the studs, and then pull the track outward to release the seat track cable.
    30 Nm (22.1 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
  6. Pull the LH 2nd row seat track motor inboard shaft outward to remove it from the seat track motor.

Install

  1. Position the LH 2nd row seat track motor inboard shaft into the seat track motor.

    Note
    The cable is keyed and needs to be installed to align with the seat track motor.
  2. Position the LH 2nd row seat outer track onto the seat assembly, maneuver the track to engage the seat track cable, guide the studs into position, and then install the nuts (x2) that attach seat track to the seat assembly.
    30 Nm (22.1 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
  3. With assistance, position the LH 2nd row seat upright.
  4. Install the LH 2nd row seat slider. See Slider - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the LH 2nd row seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Without 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Replace).
  6. Raise LH and RH front windows
  7. Close all four doors
