Harness - Rear View Mirror (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the lower quad camera cover. See Camera Cover - Lower (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the rear view mirror. See Mirror - Rear View (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the rear view mirror harness cover. See Cover - Harness - Rear View Mirror (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect the rear view mirror harness electrical connectors (x6).
  5. Release the rear view mirror harness from the windshield.
  6. Release the clips (x2) that attach the front edge of the headliner to the vehicle, and then use an inflatable airbag to lower the front edge of the headliner.
  7. Disconnect the rear view mirror harness electrical connectors (x4).
  8. Release the clips (x3) that attach the rear view mirror harness trim to the body, and then release the trim from the body.
  9. Release the retaining tab that attaches the rear view mirror harness connector to the vehicle, and then remove the harness from the vehicle.

    Note
    Release the tab by inserting pick into the recess in front of connector and applying light pressure to the tab while sliding connector forward.

Install

  1. Position the rear view mirror harness to the vehicle, and then secure the retaining tab that attaches the harness connector to the vehicle.

    Note
    Install the white connector onto the retaining tab first.
  2. Connect the rear view mirror harness electrical connectors (x4).
  3. Install the clips (x3) that attach the rear view mirror harness trim to the body.
  4. Secure the clips (x2) that attach the front edge of the headliner to the vehicle.
  5. Secure the rear view mirror harness to the windshield.

    Install the harness guide into the windshield retainer.
  6. Connect the rear view mirror harness electrical connectors (x6).
  7. Install the rear view mirror harness cover. See Cover - Harness - Rear View Mirror (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the rear view mirror. See Mirror - Rear View (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the lower quad camera cover. See Camera Cover - Lower (Remove and Replace).
