Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Remove the trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
- Apply masking tape around the liftgate striker to mark the position.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
liftgate striker to the body, and then remove the striker from the vehicle.22 Nm (16.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T30 socket
Install
- Position the liftgate striker into the vehicle, align the striker to the marked position, and then loosely install the bolts (x2) that attach the striker to the vehicle.

Close the liftgate to check for gap/flush and that liftgate closes as expected.
NoteAdjust the striker if necessary and open the trunk when done.

Tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the striker to the vehicle.22 Nm (16.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T30 socket
- Remove the masking tape around the liftgate striker area.
- Install the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Close the liftgate.
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
