1. Open all four doors

   

2. Lower all four windows

   

3. Open the hood.

   

4. Remove the rear apron.

   

   

5. Release washer fluid reservoir neck from frunk
   Remarque

   1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm, Some vehicles may have a push clip in this location

   

6. Release washer tank neck from washer tank and set aside
   Remarque

   1x O-ring, No need to remove hose from neck

   

   

7. Remove HEPA filter assembly
   Remarque

   2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot rearward edge up and past brake reservoir, Then lift up to clear frunk assembly, Note: Not all Model Y vehicles have a HEPA filter assembly installed

   

   

   

8. Open liftgate

   

9. Power off vehicle from center display
   Remarque

   Via Controls > Safety > Power Off, Select Power Off button at warning dialogue box

   

   

10. Disconnect the 12V negative battery cable and First Responder Loop.

    

    

11. Remove rear load floor

    

12. Remove front load floor

    

13. Remove trunk sill trim
    Remarque

    4x clips

    

    

14. Remove RH load floor bracket
    Remarque

    3x tabs, 2x clips, Confirm each installation with push-pull test, Clip position should not be adjusted after bracket is removed or will result in bracket not seating properly, if clip position is changed or push-pull action shows bracket not secure, remove clip from tab and seat clip into doghouse on bracket and reinstall

    

    

15. Remove RH trunk pocket bracket
    Remarque

    1x push clip, 5x alignment tabs

    

    

16. Fold 2nd row 40 seatback down
    Remarque

    Protect seat cushion, Do not put weight on seat in folded position without cushion present due to risk of bending locator tab on frame

    

17. Fold 2nd row 60 seatback down
    Remarque

    Protect seat back upholstery if necessary, Do not put weight on seat in folded position without cushion present due to risk of bending locator tab on frame

    

18. Remove LH load floor bracket
    Remarque

    2x tabs, 2x clips, Clip position should not be adjusted after bracket is removed or will result in bracket not seating properly later

    

    

19. Remove LH trunk pocket bracket
    Remarque

    1x push clip, 5x alignment tabs

    

    

20. Remove LH trunk side trim
    Remarque

    2x connectors, 1x push clip, 8x clips, 7x tabs, guide front clip stanchions around LH C-pillar, trim part may slightly differ by vehicle build location, and the number of clips may also vary

    

    

    

    

21. Release top edge of RH trunk side trim
    Remarque

    1x push clip, 13x clips, trim part may slightly differ by vehicle build location, and the number of clips may also vary

    

    

    

22. Remove RH upper C-pillar trim
    Remarque

    6x clips, Guide front upper corner groove out from headliner and place trim aside, trim part may slightly differ by vehicle build location, and the number of clips may also vary

    

    

    

23. Remove LH liftgate stop
    Remarque

    1x liftgate stop, Pull up to remove

    

    

24. Disconnect LH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly
    Remarque

    1x connector, Do not push down on red tab, Pull red tab to disengage lock, Pull again to release connector

    

    

25. Release LH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly
    Remarque

    2x nuts, 8mm, 3.2 Nm

    

26. Remove LH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly from vehicle
    Remarque

    2x studs, To ease removal use trim tool to release lamp from body near each stud. While releasing studs, Pull from opposite end of lamp.

    

    

27. Remove bolt securing LH corner of rear fascia to body
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

28. Remove RH liftgate stop
    Remarque

    1x liftgate stop, Pull up to remove

    

29. Disconnect RH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly connector
    Remarque

    1x connector, Do not push down on red tab, Pull red tab to disengage lock, Pull again to release connector

    

30. Remove nuts securing RH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly to vehicle
    Remarque

    2x nuts, 8mm, 3.2 Nm

    

31. Remove RH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly from vehicle
    Remarque

    2x studs

    

    

32. Remove bolt securing RH corner of rear fascia to body
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

33. Release rear fascia from rear diffuser
    Remarque

    6x clips, 7x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

    

34. Remove LH rear fender garnish from vehicle
    Remarque

    14x clips, Release from center of garnish and work your way outward towards both ends, Using clip prytool release yellow clips at rear of fascia to avoid damage to garnish

    

    

    

    

35. Remove bolt securing LH rear fascia to body
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 8mm, 4 Nm

    

36. Remove RH rear fender garnish from vehicle
    Remarque

    14x clips, Release from center of garnish and work your way outward towards both ends, Using clip prytool release yellow clips at rear of fascia to avoid damage to garnish

    

    

    

    

37. Remove bolt securing RH rear fascia to body
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 8mm, 4 Nm

    

38. Release rear fascia from body and disconnect rear fascia harness then remove assembly from vehicle
    Remarque

    1x connector, Slide red locking tab away from connector, Then depress black locking tab to release the connector. Recommend assistance, Place rear fascia on padded surface to avoid damage. Not need to disconnect rear fascia connector for AP4.

    

    

    

39. Disconnect the RH body harness from rear subframe and RH rear EPB connector
    Remarque

    2x connectors

    

40. Remove bolts securing amplifier to body and remove amplifier
    Remarque

    2x nuts, 10mm, 1x bolt,10mm, Set amplifier aside, be cautious not to apply excessive tension to harness

    

    

41. Disconnect subwoofer assembly
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

42. Remove subwoofer assembly
    Remarque

    1x nut, 10mm, 5.4 Nm, 2x bolts, 10mm, 5.4 Nm

    

    

43. Release clips securing RH body harness from RH side trunk bulkhead
    Remarque

    2x clips

    

44. Push grommet through RH side trunk bulkhead and feed harness through
    Remarque

    1x grommet

    

45. Remove RH rear wheelhouse Insulator from body

    

    

    

46. Install RH rear wheelhouse Insulator to body

    

    

    

47. Install subwoofer assembly
    Remarque

    1x nut, 10mm, 5.4 Nm, 2x bolts, 10mm, 5.4 Nm

    

48. Connect subwoofer assembly

    

49. Install amplifier on body
    Remarque

    2x nuts, 10mm, 1x bolt,10mm

    

50. Install securing clips RH body harness on RH side trunk bulkhead
    Remarque

    2x clips

    

51. Install grommet to RH side trunk bulkhead
    Remarque

    1x grommet

    

52. Connect the RH body harness from rear subframe and RH rear EPB connector
    Remarque

    2x connectors

    

53. Connect and install rear fascia onto vehicle
    Remarque

    1x connector, Engage red locking tab, Recommend assistance, Verify lower portion aligns with rear diffuser. Not need to connect rear fascia connector for AP4.

    

    

    

    

54. Apply Loctite 222 onto rear diffuser bolts and secure rear fascia to rear diffuser
    Remarque

    6x clips, 7x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

    

55. Install bolt securing RH rear fascia to body
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 8mm, 4 Nm

    

56. Install RH rear fender garnish
    Remarque

    14x clips, Install ends of garnish into rocker panel and rear diffuser then work your way from rear towards front of garnish

    

    

    

    

57. Install bolt securing LH rear fascia to body
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 8mm, 4 Nm

    

58. Install LH rear fender garnish
    Remarque

    14x clips, Install ends of garnish into rocker panel and rear diffuser then work your way from rear towards front of garnish

    

    

    

    

59. Install bolt securing RH corner of rear fascia

    1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

60. Remove RH bodyside lamp connector gasket
    Remarque

    1x gasket

    

61. Install RH bodyside lamp connector gasket

62. Remove upper T-stud gasket from RH bodyside lamp

    1x gasket

    

63. Install upper T-stud gasket to RH bodyside lamp

64. Remove lower T-stud gasket from RH bodyside lamp

    1x gasket

    

65. Install lower T-stud gasket to RH bodyside lamp

66. Install RH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly into vehicle

    2x studs

    

    

67. Install nuts securing RH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly to vehicle

    2x nuts, 8mm, 3.2 Nm

    

68. Connect RH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly
    Remarque

    1x connector, Engage locking tab

    

69. Install RH liftgate stop
    Remarque

    1x liftgate stop, Align tab and push down to secure

    

70. Install bolt securing LH corner of rear fascia
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

71. Remove LH bodyside lamp connector gasket
    Remarque

    1x gasket

    

72. Install LH bodyside lamp connector gasket
    Remarque

    1x gasket

    

73. Remove upper T-stud gasket from LH bodyside lamp
    Remarque

    1x gasket

    

74. Install upper T-stud gasket to LH bodyside lamp
    Remarque

    1x gasket

    

75. Remove lower T-stud gasket from LH bodyside lamp
    Remarque

    1x gasket

    

76. Install lower T-stud gasket to LH bodyside lamp

77. Install LH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly into vehicle
    Remarque

    2x studs

    

    

78. Install LH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly to vehicle
    Remarque

    2x nuts, 8mm, 3.2 Nm

    

79. Connect LH rear bodyside tail lamp assembly
    Remarque

    1x connector, Engage locking tab

    

    

80. Install LH liftgate stop
    Remarque

    1x liftgate stop, Align tab and push down to secure

    

81. Install RH upper C-pillar trim
    Remarque

    6x clips, Guide front upper corner groove under headliner, Insert guide tab to headliner behind quarter glass, Seat trunk seal to edge of trim, trim part may slightly differ by vehicle build location, and the number of clips may also vary

    

    

    

    

    

82. Install RH trunk side trim
    Remarque

    1x push clip, 13x clips, Guide front clip stanchions around RH C-pillar, trunk seal to edge of trim, trim part may slightly differ by vehicle build location, and the number of clips may also vary

    

    

    

    

83. Install RH trunk pocket bracket
    Remarque

    1x push clip, 5x alignment tabs

    

    

84. Install RH load floor bracket
    Remarque

86. Install LH trunk pocket bracket
    Remarque

    1x push clip, 5x alignment tabs

    

    

87. Install LH load floor bracket
    Remarque

88. Install trunk sill trim
    Remarque

    4x clips, Seat seal around edge of trim

    

    

    

    

89. Install front load floor

91. Move 2nd row 40 seatback to vertical position
    Remarque

    Remove seat cushion protection

    

92. Move 2nd row 60 seatback to vertical position
    Remarque

    Remove seat back protection if necessary

    

93. Connect the First Responder Loop and 12V negative battery cable.

    

    

94. Install HEPA filter assembly
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot forward edge down past frunk assembly, Then carefully move rear edge past brake reservoir and into position, Gently press on RH side of filter to seat seal onto duct, Note: Not all Model Y vehicles have a HEPA filter assembly installed

    

    

    

    

95. Secure washer tank neck onto washer tank
    Remarque

    1x O-ring, Ensure washer hose is properly routed

    

96. Secure washer fluid reservoir neck to frunk
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm, Some vehicles may have a push clip in this location

    

97. Install the rear apron.

    

    

98. Close the hood.

    

99. Close liftgate

    

    

100. Raise all four windows

     

101. Close all four doors
     Remarque

     If LV is powered up, Unlatch rear doors before closing
