Retirer
- Open all doors and fully lower all windows.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Tablier sous le capot - arrière (retirez et remplacez).
- Remove the wiper arms. See Bras d’essuie-glace (retirez et remplacez).
- Remove the cowl screen panel. See Panneau - auvent (retirez et remplacez).
- Disconnect the electrical harness from the windshield heater connector.
- Remove the LH sun visor check base. See Base - Pare-soleil - gauche (retirez et remplacez) or Base - magnétique - pare-soleil - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
- Remove the rear view mirror. See Rétroviseur - vue arrière (retirez et remplacez).

Release the clips that
attach the upper quad camera cover, disconnect the interior camera
connector, and then remove the upper quad camera cover and interior camera
assembly from the vehicle.
CAUTIONDo not pull the upper quad camera cover with excessive force, as the electrical harness is still attached to the interior camera.
- Remove the triple camera hood. See Capot - caméra triple (retirez et remplacez).
- Remove the screws (x4) that attach the forward facing camera assembly to the windshield bracket, and then release the assembly from the bracket.
- Disconnect the humidity and temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the GPS antenna connector.

Remove the screw that
attaches the windshield harness to the windshield bracket, and then move the
harness aside.Tip : Nous recommandons l’utilisation des outils suivants :
- Embout Torx T10
- Wiha, tournevis dynamométrique S de 0,8 Nm à 2,0 Nm (installation seulement)

Remove the screw that
attaches the GPS antenna to the bracket, and then remove the antenna from
the bracket.
Tip : Nous recommandons l’utilisation des outils suivants :
- Embout Torx T10
- Wiha, tournevis dynamométrique S de 0,8 Nm à 2,0 Nm (installation seulement)
- Remove the RH middle A-Pillar trim. See Garniture - montant avant - milieu - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
- Remove the RH upper A-pillar trim. See Garniture - montant avant - supérieure - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
- Remove the RH sun visor. See Pare-soleil - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
- Remove the RH sun visor check base. See Base - Pare-soleil - gauche (retirez et remplacez) or Base - magnétique - pare-soleil - gauche (retirez et remplacez).

Release the clips (x3) that
attach the front of the front headliner to the body, and then separate the
front part of the headliner from the body.
NotePull downward from the center of the headliner to release the clips.
- Release the windshield harness from the windshield fastener track bracket.
- Remove the fastener track.

Use an equalizer blade
handle to separate the datums from the windshield.
NoteThe datums are located on each upper corner of the windshield.NoteThe datum may not be clearly visible. Use the blade to feel for it.

Prepare the WRD Spider 3
glass removal kit.

Secure the wire to the
starter tool and push the tool through the urethane at the RH lower side of
the windshield assembly.
CAUTIONUse the guard to prevent damage to the dash pad while using the starter tool.

Release the line from the
starter tool and wrap the line around the exterior of the windshield.
NotePull the line away from the starter tool. Make sure enough length is pulled through.NoteVerify the line sits underneath the glass
- Attach the anchor point to the exterior of the windshield near the starting point of the handle tool, and then secure the line to the anchor.

Secure the interior side of
the line to the Spider cutting tool.
NoteFollow the instructions on the Spider tool. Feed the line through the opening of the cutting tool and tie a knot to secure the line in place. If the spindle is not turned the proper direction, the cutting tool will be damaged.

Secure the Spider cutting
tool to the interior side of the windshield.
NoteNote the orientation of the cutting line. Make sure the line wraps over the large pulley and holds a 90 degree angle.
- Secure the angle driver to the electric drill.

Turn the spindle on the
cutting tool with the drill to start remove the windshield.
NoteMove the cutting tool as needed, keeping the line close to a 90 degree angle.CAUTIONWhen passing the VIN plate, use the guard to guide the line over the plate to prevent damage.
- Attach suction cups to the LH and RH sides of the windshield assembly.
- With an assistant, remove the windshield assembly from the vehicle.
- Remove the suction cups from the windshield assembly.
- Use a razor blade to remove the old urethane from the windshield flange on the vehicle.
- Remove the tape from the exterior of both A-pillars.
Installer
- Nettoyez le pare-brise si nécessaire. Faites particulièrement attention à la zone de la caméra orientée vers l’avant pour garantir une vue dégagée de cette caméra. See Vue dégagée de la caméra avant (nettoyage de précision du pare-brise intérieur).
- Place the new windshield on a support stand with the windshield bracket facing up.
- Attach suction cups to the LH and RH sides of the windshield assembly.
- Clean the urethane path on the vehicle with an isopropyl alcohol (IPA) wipe. Allow the surface to dry before continuing to the next step.

Apply urethane primer to the
windshield and vehicle body along the urethane path and in areas that were
damaged during removal of the windshield assembly.
CAUTIONBe careful not to damage the headliner during application.NoteAllow the primer to dry for at least 2 minute.

Apply urethane to the
windshield following the original path.
NoteMake sure that the urethane bead has a triangular cross-section of approximate width 8 mm and height 13 mm.

With an assistant, install
the new windshield assembly onto the vehicle, but do not set it yet.
CAUTIONBe careful not to damage the headliner during installation.
- Check the gap and flush of the windshield assembly to the body before fully seating the windshield assembly.
- Fully seat the windshield assembly, check the gap and flush, and adjust if necessary.
- Apply masking tape to attach the windshield assembly to the body while the urethane cures.
- Remove the suction cups from the windshield assembly.

Install the GPS antenna into
the windshield bracket, and then install the screw that attaches the antenna
to the bracket. Tip : Nous recommandons l’utilisation des outils suivants :
- Embout Torx T10
- Wiha, tournevis dynamométrique S de 0,8 Nm à 2,0 Nm (installation seulement)
- Connect the windshield electrical harness to the GPS sensor connector.
- Connect the windshield electrical harness to the humidity and temperature sensor connector.

Install the screws (x4) that
attach the forward facing camera assembly to the windshield bracket.Tip : Nous recommandons l’utilisation des outils suivants :
- Fixation de pale Torx T10
- Wiha, tournevis dynamométrique S de 0,8 Nm à 2,0 Nm (installation seulement)
- Outil de réglage Wiha
- Install the triple camera hood. See Capot - caméra triple (retirez et remplacez).
- Install the windshield harness onto the fastener track clips.

Connect the interior camera
electrical connector.

Fasten the clips that attach
the upper quad camera cover to the windshield bracket.
NoteMake sure that the connector for the rear view mirror passes through the opening in the upper quad camera cover.

Fasten the clips (x3) that
attach the front of the front headliner to the body.
- Install the RH upper A-pillar trim. See Garniture - montant avant - supérieure - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
- Install the RH middle A-Pillar trim. See Garniture - montant avant - milieu - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
- Install the RH sun visor check base. See Base - Pare-soleil - gauche (retirez et remplacez) or Base - magnétique - pare-soleil - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
- Install the RH sun visor. See Pare-soleil - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
- Move the front passenger seat to the original position.
- Install the LH sun visor check base. See Base - Pare-soleil - gauche (retirez et remplacez) or Base - magnétique - pare-soleil - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
- Connect the electrical harness to the windshield heater connector.
- Réinstaller le micrologiciel du véhicule. Voir Réinstallation du logiciel – Écran tactile.
- Install the cowl screen panel. See Panneau - auvent (retirez et remplacez).
- Install the wiper arms. See Bras d’essuie-glace (retirez et remplacez).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Tablier sous le capot - arrière (retirez et remplacez).
- Perform the forward facing camera pitch verification. See Caméra - orienté vers l’avant (vérification d'inclinaison).

Remove the masking tape
after the urethane has cured.
CAUTIONNe conduisez pas le véhicule avant que le temps de remise en service minimal recommandé par le fabricant de l’adhésif ne se soit écoulé. Dow Betaseal Express a un temps de remise en service minimal de 1 heure lorsque la température est de 0 ˚F (-18 ˚C) ou plus. Au besoin, laissez le ruban adhésif qui applique une pression sur la vitre et demandez au client de le retirer après 24 heures. De plus, indiquez au client d’éviter de conduire à haute vitesse et de rouler sur des dos d’âne pendant les prochaines 24 heures.
