Function check LH front door (exterior)

Function check all windows from the master switch

Remove rear bolts securing underhood storage unit to body
Remarque2x bolts, 13mm, 4 Nm, Peel back carpet for access

Release underhood storage unit
Remarque2x nuts, 8mm, 4 Nm, 2x bolts, 13mm, 8 Nm

Remove front nuts securing underhood storage unit to body
Remarque2x nuts, 8mm, 8 Nm, Peel back carpet for access

Disconnect emergency hood release and front light harness
Remarque2x connectors, 1x grommet, Push wiring harness grommet through underhood storage unit

Remove underhood storage unit

Perform inspection of under hood area
RemarquePerform inspection of vehicle under hood area, Check for signs of abnormal damage, wear, heavy rust, wiring damage, or impact damage, Pay attention to safety related component and note any items of significance

Inspect brake fluid level

Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary
RemarqueEnsure that fluid level is at Max line

Top off windshield washer fluid

Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
RemarqueSet vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged

Remove clips securing front aero shield to vehicle

Remove clips securing LH shear plate to wheel fairing

Remove LH shear plate
Remarque2x clips, 1x nyloc nut, 15mm, 35 Nm, 3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, Discard nyloc nut after removal

Remove clips securing RH shear plate to wheel fairing

Remove RH shear plate
Remarque2x clips, 1x nyloc nut, 15mm, 35 Nm, 3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, Discard nyloc nut after removal

Remove rear aero shield clips

Remove rear aero shield from vehicle

Perform inspection of vehicle underside components front and rear
RemarquePerform inspection of vehicle underside front and rear, Check for signs of abnormal damage, wear, heavy rust, wiring damage, or impact damage, Pay attention to safety related component and note any items of significance

Inspect underside of vehicle for fluid leaks

Perform inspection of steering components
RemarqueCheck steering gear joints, fasteners, and electrical connections, Verify components are not bent or damaged

Perform inspection of front suspension components
RemarqueCheck conditions of ball joints and bushings, etc, Inspect for any loose fasteners, Carefully apply pressure with a pry bar as needed

Perform inspection of rear suspension components
RemarqueCheck conditions of ball joints and bushings, etc, Inspect for any loose fasteners, Carefully apply pressure with a pry bar as needed

Inspect underside of battery for damage
RemarqueIdentify location of damage using grid shown in image, Any damage greater than 1/8 in (3 mm) deep must be reported to Tesla Service Engineering

Inspect condition of LH front tire

Measure and record LH front tread depth
RemarqueRecord at least 3 measurements: Inner, Middle, Outer, Add line to replace if under 5/32 inch tread remaining

Perform visual inspection of LH front brake pads
RemarquePerform visual inspection, Recommend replacement if 2mm or less, Check both inboard and outboard pads

Inspect LH front brake rotor condition
RemarqueCheck for excessive rust or wear

Inspect condition of LH rear tire

Install fasteners securing RH shear plate to vehicle
Remarque1x nyloc nut, 15mm, 35 Nm, 3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, Install new nyloc nut

Install clips securing RH shear plate to wheel fairing
Remarque2x push clips

Install fasteners securing LH shear plate to vehicle
Remarque1x nyloc nut, 15mm, 35 Nm, 3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, Install new nyloc nut

Install clips securing LH shear plate to wheel fairing

Install front aero shield
Remarque6x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm, 2x bolts, T40, 4 Nm

Install clips securing front aero shield to vehicle

Lower vehicle fully
RemarqueRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

Remove vehicle from lift
RemarqueLower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode" via Controls > Service > '' JACK MODE''

Position underhood storage unit into vehicle
Remarque1x grommet,push wiring harness grommet back through underhood storage unit

Connect emergency hood release and front light harness

Install front nuts securing underhood storage unit to body
Remarque2x nuts, 8mm, 8 Nm, Seat seal around carpet

Install rear bolts securing underhood storage unit to body
Remarque2x bolts, 13mm, 4 Nm, Seat seal around carpet

Install front underhood apron
Remarque2x push clips, 7x clips

Install RH underhood apron
Remarque9x clips

Install LH underhood apron
Remarque9 x clips

Install rear underhood apron
Remarque8x clips

Close hood
RemarquePress firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood

Perform a road test using a series of ABS-active stops and ensure proper brake pedal feel and performance
RemarqueThe vehicle must stop completely within 25 feet (7.6 meters) at 20 mph (32 kph), Confirm that no excessive vibration or noise is present

Inspect vehicles alignment
RemarqueConfirm steering wheel is straight and no vibrations or noises are felt or heard from the suspension, On a flat road, at 35 mph (56 kph), the vehicle does not pull in either direction
