1. Open all four doors

   

   

2. Lower all four windows

   

3. Fully open sunroof using UI

   

   

   

4. Remove bolts securing sliding glass to vehicle
   Remarque

   4x bolts, T25, 5 Nm, Discard patch bolts

   

5. Remove sliding glass from vehicle
   Remarque

   Recommend assistance

   

6. Remove RH floor mat
   Remarque

   4x velcro pads

   

7. Remove RH IP side cover
   Remarque

   4x clips, 1x connector

   

   

8. Remove RH middle A-pillar trim

   

9. Remove RH instrument panel lower assembly
   Remarque

   13x clips

   

   

   

10. Remove glove box lower trim
    Remarque

    6x clips

    

    

11. Remove glove box from IP carrier
    Remarque

    6x screws, T20, 2.3 Nm, 3x connectors

    

    

12. Release RH front console side panel clips

    

13. Remove RH console closeout extension
    Remarque

    8x clips, 1x adhesive pad

    

14. Remove RH footwell cover
    Remarque

    2x screws, T20, 2 Nm, 1x connector, Remove manual hood cable from handle to release footwell cover

    

    

    

    

    

    

15. Remove RH lower A-pillar trim
    Remarque

    4x clips, The number of clips securing the trim varies depending on vehicle production date, Replace any damaged or missing clips prior to re-installing sill trim

    

    

    

16. Apply masking tape onto roof rail
    Remarque

    Apply masking tape onto roof rail to prevent paint damage from working on vehicle roof

    

17. Remove RH side applique roof rack doors
    Remarque

    2x roof rack doors, Careful not to break roof rack doors upon removal

    

    

    

    

    

    

18. Remove RH side applique
    Remarque

    Using Hydroblade tool and glass cleaner for lubrication cut through urethane to free 1.0 side applique, Ensure to clear the seals and cut through the urethane, Careful not to damage the paint on the roof rail as you cut

    

    

    

    

    

    

19. Remove bolts securing RH roof motor
    Remarque

    3x patch bolts, T25, 5 Nm, Discard after removal

    

20. Separate RH roof motor from motor block

    

21. Disconnect RH sunroof motor connector

    

22. Remove right rear cam block
    Remarque

    2x screws. T25, 5 Nm

    

    

23. Slide pano roof rear right link forward to cam block opening
    Remarque

    Use a long bit to help move link

    

    

24. Lift up rear right link and remove guide shoe

    

25. Slide pano roof rear right link back past frame channel

    

26. Remove RH rear stop screw
    Remarque

    1x screw, T20, 6.5 Nm

    

    

    

27. Remove RH rear link
    Remarque

    Pull link rearward, You may need to use a bigger hook and pull more aggressively

    

    

28. Remove RH panoramic roof drive cable
    Remarque

    Cable my get stuck where stop screw was installed, Apply good amount of force to remove

    

    

29. Remove old urethane from body
    Remarque

    Ensure residual urethane is 1 mm or less in thickness

    

    

    

    

    

30. Vacuum debris from body and headliner
    Remarque

    Clean up roof area of vehicle to prepare for installation of new rear fixed glass

    

31. Install RH panoramic roof drive cable
    Remarque

    Leave enough slack to install link

    

    

32. Insert the rear right link into the drive cable
    Remarque

    Both rear link and drive cable should fix like a puzzle, Careful not to damage fixed glass or side rail

    

    

33. Gently tap the rear right link to move assembly into frame channels

    

34. Slide pano roof rear right link forward to cam block opening
    Remarque

    Use a long bit to help move link

    

35. Lift up rear right link and install guide shoe

    

36. Slide pano roof rear right link back towards rear opening
    Remarque

    Don't slide link past rear stop screw

    

37. Install right rear cam block
    Remarque

    2x screws, T25, 5 Nm

    

    

38. Install RH rear stop screw
    Remarque

    1x screw, T20, 6.5 Nm

    

    

    

39. Slide pano roof front right link back
    Remarque

    Line up paint marks at link and pano frame

    

40. Install RH sunroof motor connector

    

    

41. Position RH roof motor onto motor block

    

42. Install bolts securing RH roof motor onto motor block
    Remarque

    3x patch bolts, T25, 5 Nm, Install new patch bolts

    

43. Install RH footwell cover
    Remarque

    2x screws, T20, 2 Nm, 1x connector

    

    

    

    

    

    

    

44. Install RH center console closeout extension
    Remarque

    12x clips

    

    

45. Secure RH front console side panel clips

    

46. Install glove box into vehicle
    Remarque

    3x connectors, 6x screws, T20, 2.3 Nm

    

    

47. Install lower glove box trim panel
    Remarque

    6x clips, Replace any damaged or missing clips prior to installation

    

48. Install RH instrument panel lower assembly
    Remarque

    13x clips

    

    

49. Install RH lower A-pillar trim
    Remarque

    4x clips, The number of clips securing the a pillar sill trim varies depending on vehicle production date, Replace any damaged or missing clips prior to re-installing sill trim

    

    

    

50. Install RH front floor mat
    Remarque

    4x velcro pads

    

51. Move panoramic front links into original position
    Remarque

    2x links

    

    

52. Place sliding glass into position on vehicle
    Remarque

53. Install bolts securing sliding glass to vehicle
    Remarque

    4x bolts, T25, 5 Nm, Install new patch bolts

    

54. Connect laptop to vehicle with a tethered Ethernet connection via Toolbox 3
    Remarque

    1x connector, 2x clips, Newer models will access connector below MCU with cubby removed, Older models will access port at LH side of IP with end cap removedOpen Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to vehicle: https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner and select Connect Locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected), Local connection will enable service mode plus on display

    

    

    

55. Select ‘Actions’ tab and search for ‘Calibrate Sunroof’

    

56. Select ‘Calibrate sunroof’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete

57. Select "Calibrate" to perform panoramic roof calibration
    Remarque

    Roof will fully close, then fully open

    

    

58. Fully close sunroof using UI

    

    

    

    

59. Disconnect Toolbox from vehicle and install cubby under MCU
    Remarque

    1x connector, 2x clips, Ensure diagnostic cables are tucked into appropriate position then engage cubby

    

    

60. Partially open panoramic sunroof
    Remarque

    Choose vent option on UI to slightly open panoramic sunroof

    

    

61. Install clips onto both side roof appliques
    Remarque

    Apply a small amount of grease in area where clip is going to be installed

    

    

62. Set applique into place and mark with tape
    Remarque

    Place tape marks on roof rail aligned with clips

    

63. Apply primer to frame and applique clips

    

64. Apply small amounts of urethane to back of clips

    

65. Install 2nd gen side roof appliques
    Remarque

    Allow urethane to setTape front edges down into installation position.

    

    

    

66. Remove masking tape from roof rails

    

    

    

67. Operate sliding glass and verify that glass does not shudder while opening or closing

    

    

    

68. Raise all four windows

    

69. Close all four doors
