3. Remove rear underhood apron

5. Remove LH underhood apron
   Remarque

6. Release drainage hoses from HEPA filter inlet duct
   Remarque

   2x hoses

   

   

7. Remove clips securing HEPA filter inlet duct to cowl panel
   Remarque

   3x push clips

   

8. Remove HEPA filter inlet duct
   Remarque

   2x clips on HEPA filter

   

   

9. Remove HEPA filter outlet duct from vehicle
   Remarque

   Lift up, pull towards front of vehicle, then rotate clockwise

   

   

10. Move LH front seat backward
11. Remove LH front seat front fasteners
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, T47P, 33.5 Nm, Discard after removal

    

12. Move LH front seat forward

    

13. Remove LH front seat rear fasteners
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, T47P, 33.5 Nm, Discard after removal

    

14. Adjust position of LH front seat for easy removal
    Remarque

    Move seat to middle of track at most upright position with seat fully up off floor
15. Power down vehicle using MCU
    Remarque

    Controls > Safety&Security > Power Off > ''POWER OFF''
16. Disconnect 12V negative terminal and First Responder Loop
    Remarque

    1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x connector, Wait at least 2 minutes before disconnecting modules or HV components

    

17. Disconnect LH front seat harness
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

18. Remove LH front seat from vehicle
    Remarque

    Recommend assistance, Use caution to not damage other components

    

19. Remove screw securing outer side cover from seat
    Remarque

    1x screw, T20, 4 Nm, Ensure the front of the seat is high enough to access the T20 screw

    

20. Release outer side cover clip from seat, but do not remove
    Remarque

    1x clip, Do not fully remove, possible damage to the trim/switch pack/harness

    

    

21. Disconnect seat switch connector
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

22. Slide outer cover rearward to release clip from frame and lift up
    Remarque

    1x clip

    

23. Release inboard side shield clip from seat, but do not fully remove
    Remarque

    1x clip, 1x hook, Ensure hook is released from seat bottom frame, Do not fully remove

    

    

    

24. Route seat belt buckle out of inboard side shield

    

    

25. Remove inboard side shield
    Remarque

    Slide inboard side shield rearward to release tab from frame and lift up

    

    

    

26. Place the front seat in a position to gain access to the bottom of the seat
    Remarque

    Protect seat cushion from damage

    

27. Release toe kick straps from both sides of interior seat base
    Remarque

    2x hook clips

    

28. Release toe kick j-hooks from seat mat spring
    Remarque

    2x J-hooks

    

29. Disconnect the seat heater connector
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x clip, Remove connector from spring mat clip

    

    

    

30. If equipped, disconnect the seat track position sensor.
    Remarque

    1x connector.

    

31. If equipped, remove the screw that attaches the seat track position sensor to the seat track assembly, and then remove the sensor from the seat track assembly.
    TIp

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • T20 socket

    

    

32. Remove the seat back harness connector from the seat bottom
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x fir tree clip

    

33. Remove zip tie securing harnesses to spring mat

    

34. Return seat to upright position
35. Remove the outboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the seat cushion frame
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, T50, 43 Nm, Discard after removal

    

36. Remove the inboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the cushion frame
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, T50, 43 Nm, Discard after removal

    

37. Remove the seat back frame from the cushion frame
    Remarque

    Rotate the frame away from the cushion frame and lift the seat frame straight up

    

    

38. Turn the seat bottom over for access
    Remarque

    Protect seat cushion from damage

    

39. Disconnect seat bottom connectors
    Remarque

    2x connectors, 1x fir tree clip

    

40. Disconnect seat belt reminder connector
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x clip, Slide connector towards back of seat bottom to release connector from clip

    

    

    

41. Release seat belt reminder from spring mat
    Remarque

    1x clip, Slide seat belt reminder towards back of seat bottom to release connector from clip

    

    

42. Return seat to upright position
43. Disconnect the seat belt buckle
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

44. Remove the seat belt buckle from the seat track assembly
    Remarque

    1x patch bolt, T50, 40 Nm, Discard after removal

    

45. Remove inboard seat cushion soft trim from seat cushion frame
    Remarque

    1x J-clip, May need to start with a hook tool, Pull the clip away from the frame to release

    

    

46. Remove outboard seat cushion soft trim from seat cushion frame
    Remarque

    1x J-clip, May need to start with a hook tool, Pull the clip away from the frame to release

    

    

47. Remove front of seat cushion soft trim from seat cushion frame
    Remarque

    1x J-clip, May need to start with a hook tool, Pull the clip away from the frame to release

    

    

48. Remove seat cushion from seat bottom frame
    Remarque

    Lift up at the front of the seat cushion and pull up to remove seat cushion from seat bottom frame, Ensure harness connectors do not catch on seat bottom frame when removing

    

    

    

49. Install seat cushion to seat bottom frame
    Remarque

    Insert the rear of the seat cushion to seat bottom frame and then lower the rest on the seat cushion to the seat bottom frame, Ensure wiring harness are routed through the back of seat frame

    

    

    

50. Install outboard seat cushion soft trim to seat cushion frame
    Remarque

    1x J-clip, Fold the clip over towards the frame, The open end should engage the seat frame, if not the trim will need to be pulled until the correct amount of tension is achieved, Line up one end of the clip strip opening with the seat frame and press down until the clip is fully seated onto the frame

    

    

51. Install inboard seat cushion soft trim to seat cushion frame
    Remarque

    1x J-clip, Fold the clip over towards the frame, The open end should engage the seat frame, if not the trim will need to be pulled until the correct amount of tension is achieved, Line up one end of the clip strip opening with the seat frame and press down until the clip is fully seated onto the frame

    

    

52. Install front of seat cushion soft trim to seat cushion frame
    Remarque

    1x J-clip, Fold the clip over towards the frame, The open end should engage the seat frame, if not the trim will need to be pulled until the correct amount of tension is achieved, Line up one end of the clip strip opening with the seat frame and press down until the clip is fully seated onto the frame

    

    

53. Install seat belt buckle to the new seat track assembly
    Remarque

    1x patch bolt, T50, 40 Nm, Install new patch bolt

    

54. Connect the seat belt buckle
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

55. Place the front seat in a position to gain access to the bottom of the seat
    Remarque

    Protect seat cushion from damage

    

56. Install seat belt reminder to spring mat
    Remarque

    1x clip

    

    

57. Connect seat belt reminder connector
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x clip, Slide connector towards front of seat bottom to secure connector to clip

    

    

58. Install seat bottom connectors
    Remarque

    2x connector, 1x fir tree clip

    

59. Install toe kick j-hooks to seat mat spring
    Remarque

    2x J-hooks

    

60. Return seat to upright position

    

61. Place the seat back frame onto the cushion frame for installation
    Remarque

    The seat back frame can rest on the cushion frame without fasteners

    

62. Install the outboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the cushion frame
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, T50, 43 Nm, Install new patch bolts

    

63. Install the inboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the cushion frame
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, T50, 43 Nm, Install new patch bolts

    

64. Place the front seat in a position to gain access to the bottom of the seat
    Remarque

    Protect seat cushion from damage

    

65. If equipped, position the seat track position sensor on the new seat track assembly, and then install the screw that attaches the sensor to the seat track assembly.
    

    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
    TIp

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • T20 socket

    

    

66. If equipped, connect the seat track position sensor.
    Remarque

    1x connector.

    

67. Install the seat back harness connector to the seat bottom
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x fir tree clip

    

68. Connect the seat heater harness and secure to spring mat clip
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x clip, secure connector to spring mat clip

    

    

    

69. Route LH sensor harnesses underneath toe kick strap

    

    

70. Zip-tie both LH seat back heater and sensor harnesses onto spring mat
    Remarque

    1x zip tie

    

71. Secure the toe kick straps from both sides of the interior seat base
    Remarque

    2x hook clips

    

72. Return seat to upright position
73. Position inboard side shield to the LH front seat and slide forward to secure rear tab
    Remarque

    Apply light pressure to the rear of the inboard side shield to fully seat onto the seat frame, A fully installed trim should not show any metal from the frame and should line up with the contour of the seat back

    

    

    

74. Route seat belt buckle into inboard side shield

    

    

75. Install inboard side shield clip from seat
    Remarque

    1x clip, 1x hook, Ensure hook is secured to seat bottom frame

    

    

    

76. Position outer side cover to the LH front seat and slide forward to secure rear tab
    Remarque

    Apply light pressure to the rear of the outer trim to fully seat onto the seat frame, A fully installed trim should not show any metal from the frame and should line up with the contour of the seat back

    

77. Install seat switch connector
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

78. Secure outer side cover clip into LH front seat
    Remarque

    1x clip, Apply pressure to the outer seat trim to fully seat the trim clip, the trim should sit flush against the seat cushion

    

    

79. Install screw securing outer side cover to LH front seat
    Remarque

    1x screw, T20, 4 Nm

    

80. Install LH front seat into vehicle
    Remarque

    Recommend Assistance, Take care not to damage surrounding components while lifting the seat into the vehicle

    

81. Connect LH front seat harness
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

82. Connect First Responder Loop and 12V negative terminal
    Remarque

    1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x connector

    

83. Move LH front seat forward

    

84. Install LH front seat rear fasteners
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, T47P, 33.5 Nm, Install new patch bolts

    

85. Move LH front seat backward

    

86. Install LH front seat front fasteners
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, T47P, 33.5 Nm, Install new patch bolts

    

87. Move LH front seat to original position

    

88. Les ensembles de sièges avant de remplacement et les ensembles de cadres de coussins de siège achetés après juin 2024 sont équipés d'un moteur Tesla « mini-inclinaison » de nouvelle conception, et le remplacement de ces pièces (ou du moteur d'inclinaison lui-même) pourrait nécessiter un changement de configuration. Passez en revue les informations de configuration dans le tableau et effectuez les sous-étapes suivantes si une mise à jour de la configuration est nécessaire.
    
    1. Allez à la section Configuration du véhicule du Tableau de bord d'infodivertissement. Voir Configuration de la passerelle (afficher et modifier).
    2. Mettez à jour cfg_frontSeattype en fonction de la combinaison de moteurs d'inclinaison décrite dans le tableau.
89. Place vehicle in service mode with touchscreen
90. Using Laptop connect to vehicle with a tethered Ethernet connection via Toolbox 3.0
91. To run routine successfully, apply foot to brake pedal and hold right turn signal indicator for 10 plus seconds

    This step is required even when using a tethered Ethernet connection, Refer to Toolbox Article 99100 for details, Routine can be run after the 10 seconds expires, Key fob must be present in vehicle
92. Select ‘Actions/Autodiag’ and search for ‘Calibration’
93. Select ‘PROC_VCSEATD_SEAT-CALIBRATEvia Toolbox: (link)’, and allow routine to complete

    Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close once complete
94. Disconnect Toolbox from vehicle and install cubby under the MCU
    Remarque

    1x connector, 2x clips

    

95. Exit Service Mode
96. Close both doors on the LH side
97. Install HEPA filter outlet duct

    

    

98. Install HEPA filter inlet duct
    Remarque

    2x tabs, One on each side

    

    

99. Install clips securing HEPA filter inlet duct to cowl panel
    Remarque

    3x push clips

    

100. Secure drainage hoses to HEPA filter inlet duct
     Remarque

     2x hoses

     

     

101. Install LH underhood apron
     Remarque

     9x clips

     

     

102. Install RH underhood apron
     Remarque

     9x clips

     

     

103. Install rear underhood apron
     Remarque

     8x clips

     

     

104. Close hood
     Remarque

     Press firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood
