Choose the appropriate procedure based on the vehicle's configuration and date of manufacture:

RWD vehicles built through April 10, 2016, refer to 1st Generation RWD
Dual Motor vehicles built through April 10, 2016, refer to 1st Generation Dual Motor
All vehicles built after April 10, 2016, refer to 2nd Generation

1st Generation RWD

Warning

Note

Avant de débrancher l'alimentation 12 volts, assurez-vous que la vitre de la porte du conducteur est complètement ouverte. Le non-respect de cette instruction peut entraîner le verrouillage de l'utilisateur hors du véhicule.

Disconnect

Open the front trunk.
If the vehicle is charging, remove the charge cable.
On the touchscreen, power off the climate control system, and wait at least 30 seconds for the climate control system to completely shut down.
Make sure the vehicle is in Park.
Fully lower all door windows to avoid glass shatter and door lockout conditions.
Remove the particulate filter (voir la procédure).
Remove the rivets (x3) that attach the cowl screen panel to the body.
Gain access to the particulate filter housing.
- LHD vehicles only: Lift up the RH corner of the cowl screen panel.
  CAUTION
  Prenez soin de ne pas endommager le ou les composants.
- RHD vehicles only: Remove the cowl screen panel (voir la procédure).
Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the pollen filter front housing to the HVAC duct (torque 1.5 Nm). Release the tabs (x2) to remove the front housing.

Note
RHD vehicles have a 1-piece pollen filter housing. Remove the nuts (x3), then remove the housing.
Unlatch the driver's door and any door that might need to be opened during the service procedure.
Turn off vehicle power from the touchscreen by touching Controls > E-brake & Power Off > Power off.
Disconnect the 12V battery ground connection (torque 5 Nm).
Disconnect the first responder loop (X536). Do not cut the loop.
Wait at least 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge.

Warning
Before servicing post pack contactor high voltage components on the DC Link, verify the pack contactors are open by performing the vehicle HV disablement procedure. See Procédure de désactivation HT du véhicule. If servicing the pack contactors themselves, disconnect low voltage power and remove the HV pyro fuse/disconnect. See Fusible - Pyrotechnique - Batterie HT 1.0/1.5 (retirer et installer) or Fusible - Pyrotechnique - Batterie HT 2.0 (retirer et installer). If servicing the HV pyro fuse/disconnect, be aware that high voltage will always be present at the fuse.

Connect

Note

Connect is reverse of disconnect, except for the following:

For RHD vehicles, install the top 2 pollen filter housing nuts before installing the lower nut.

1st Generation Dual Motor

Note

Disconnect

Open the front trunk.

Unlatch the driver's door and any door that might need to be opened during the service procedure.
Turn off vehicle power from the touchscreen by touching Controls > E-brake & Power Off > Power off.
Disconnect the 12V battery ground connection (torque 5 Nm).
Disconnect the first responder loop (X536). Do not cut the loop.
Wait at least 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge.

Before working on any high voltage components, perform the vehicle HV disablement procedure Procédure de désactivation HT du véhicule.

Connect

Note

Connect is reverse of disconnect.

2nd Generation

Open the front trunk.

Remove the HEPA filter outlet duct (voir la procédure).
Unlatch the driver's door and any door that might need to be opened during the service procedure.
Turn off vehicle power from the touchscreen by touching Controls > E-brake & Power Off > Power off.
Disconnect the 12V battery ground connection (torque 5 Nm).
Disconnect the first responder loop.

CAUTION
Do not cut the first responder loop.
Wait at least 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge.
