1. Raise and support vehicle
   Remarque

   Prepare to raise vehicle, Set air suspension to "Jack Mode", Position lift arm pads on vehicle jack pads

   

   

   

2. Open LH front door

   

3. Lower LH front window

   

4. Enter Service Mode
   Remarque

   Enter Service mode through touchscreen. Press Car icon => Go to Software tab=> Press and hold ''Model'' for 3 seconds=>In new window type ''service'' or press voice command button on steering wheel and say ''service''=>Press ''OK'' button. Car is in service mode now

   

   

   

5. Open hood
   Remarque

   Via Controls > Front Trunk

   

   

6. Remove rear underhood apron
   Remarque

   8x clips

   

   

7. Remove RH underhood apron
   Remarque

   9x clips

   

   

8. Remove LH underhood apron
   Remarque

   9x clips

   

   

9. Remove clips securing cabin intake duct assembly to cowl panel
   Remarque

   3x push clips

   

10. Release primary and secondary drain tubes from cabin intake duct assembly
    Remarque

    2x hoses

    

    

11. Remove cabin intake duct assembly
    Remarque

    2x clips on HEPA filter

    

    

12. Remove HEPA filter outlet duct from vehicle
    Remarque

    Lift up, pull towards front of vehicle, then rotate clockwise

    

    

13. Power off vehicle via UI
    Remarque

    Via Controls > Safety > Power Off

    

    

14. Disconnect 12V negative terminal and First Responder Loop
    Remarque

    1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x connector, Wait at least 2 minutes before disconnecting modules or HV components

    

15. Remove front underhood apron
    Remarque

    7x clips

    

    

16. Disconnect light and release switch connectors and remove underhood storage carpet
    Remarque

    2x connectors, Release edge of carpet from underneath underhood storage unit seal

    

17. Release underhood storage unit
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm, 2x push clips

    

18. Remove underhood storage unit
    Remarque

    1x grommet, Lift the underhood storage unit appropriately to access the grommet and push grommet through underhood storage

    

    

    

19. Disconnect the front fascia harness
    Remarque

    2x connectors

    

20. Release the edge clip that secures the fascia harness to the RH active shutter
    Remarque

    1x edge clip

    

21. Apply masking tape to protect LH and RH front fender

    

    

22. Remove bolts securing fascia bracket to carrier
    Remarque

    4x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

23. Remove screw securing front fascia to LH fender bracket
    Remarque

    1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm

    

24. Remove screw securing front fascia to RH fender bracket
    Remarque

    1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm

    

25. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

    

    

26. Release front aero shield
    Remarque

    10x push clips

    

27. Remove front aero shield
    Remarque

    12x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

28. Lower vehicle partially and set lift onto locks
    Remarque

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height

    

    

    

29. Release fascia from fender brackets and pull forward to remove from vehicle
    Remarque

    Set fascia on protected surface, Recommend assistance

    

    

    

30. Remove ankle catcher from front end carrier
    Remarque

    4x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, Discard after removal

    

    

    

31. Release the LH tabs securing the front ducting to front end ducting assembly
    Remarque

    2x tabs

    

32. Release the RH tabs securing the front ducting to front end ducting assembly
    Remarque

    2x tabs

    

33. Release the top and bottom tabs securing front ducting to front end ducting assembly and remove from vehicle
    Remarque

    12x tabs, Carefully release the tabs and remove front end ducting from vehicle

    

    

34. Use shop-vac to clean dirt on the radiator
    Remarque

    If necessary removal large debris

    

    

35. Use blow gun to clean dirt on the radiator again
    Remarque

    Do not get too close to radiator blades

    

36. Use shop-vac to clean dirt on both condensers
    Remarque

    If necessary removal large debris

    

    

37. Use blow gun to clean dirt on both condensers again
    Remarque

    Do not get too close to condenser blades

    

    

38. Install front ducting onto front end ducting assembly
    Remarque

    16x tabs, Carefully secure front duct to onto front end ducting assembly

    

    

    

    

39. Install ankle catcher onto front end carrier assembly
    Remarque

    4x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, Install new bolts

    

    

    

40. Place front fascia onto vehicle and secure fascia to fender brackets
    Remarque

    Recommend Assistance, Route fascia harness while installing, Align guide tabs to aeroshield then secure to fender brackets

    

    

41. Secure fascia harness clip onto the RH active shutter
    Remarque

    1x edge clip

    

42. Connect front fascia harness
    Remarque

    2x connectors

    

43. Install screw securing fascia to LH fender bracket
    Remarque

    1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm

    

44. Install screw securing fascia to RH fender bracket
    Remarque

    1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm

    

45. Install bolts securing LH and RH side of fascia to carrier
    Remarque

    4x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

46. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

    

    

47. Position front aero shield to vehicle
    Remarque

    10x clips

    

48. Position front aero shield to vehicle
    Remarque

    10x clips

    

49. Install and tighten bolts securing front aero shield to vehicle
    Remarque

    12x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm

    

50. Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground
    Remarque

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

    

    

    

51. Remove masking tape from front fenders

    

    

52. Position underhood storage unit
    Remarque

    1x grommet, Lift the underhood storage unit appropriately to access the gromment and feed harness grommet through underhood storage unit

    

    

    

53. Install bolts and clips securing underhood storage unit
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm, 2x push clips

    

54. Install underhood storage carpet and reconnect light and release switch connectors
    Remarque

    2x connectors, Secure edges of carpet underneath underhood storage unit seal

    

55. Install front underhood apron
    Remarque

    7x clips

    

    

56. Connect First Responder Loop and 12V negative terminal
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm, Connect First Responder Loop first

    

57. Unlock vehicle Gateway
    Remarque

    After vehicle has been put into "Service Mode", hold down the brake pedal, while holding down break pedal simultaneously hold the turn signal stalk fully up for at least 10 seconds, "GTW UNLOCKING" should pop up on the instrument cluster right below the VIN during these 10 seconds, once gateway is unlocked "GTW UNLOCKED 5400" will be displayed on the instrument cluster underneath the VIN, the gateway will remain unlocked for 90 minutes, follow steps on Toolbox article #5582900 for any additional information

    

    

    

    

58. Perform Thermal Test via Service UI
    Remarque

    Select Thermal > Actions > Thermal Test, click Run, close once routine is completed

    

    

    

    

59. Exit Service Mode UI
    Remarque

    Service>Exit Service Mode

    

    

60. Install HEPA filter outlet duct

    

    

61. Install cabin intake duct assembly
    Remarque

    2x tabs, One on each side

    

    

62. Secure primary and secondary drain tubes to cabin intake duct assembly
    Remarque

    2x hoses

    

    

63. Install clips securing cabin intake duct assembly to cowl panel
    Remarque

    3x push clips

    

64. Install LH underhood apron
    Remarque

    9x clips

    

    

65. Install RH underhood apron
    Remarque

    9x clips

    

    

66. Install rear underhood apron
    Remarque

    8x clips

    

    

67. Close hood
    Remarque

    Press firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood

    

    

68. Raise LH front window

    

69. Close LH front door

    

70. Remove vehicle from lift
    Remarque

    Lower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode" via Controls > Service > '' JACK MODE''
