Harness - Lower Dash (Remove and Replace)

  1. Open the doors and lower the windows.
  2. Fully lower and extend the steering column.
  3. Remove the LH and RH middle A-pillar trim. See Panneau - Garniture de montant A - Centre - Gauche (retrait et remplacement).
  4. Remove the driver's lower dash trim. See Garniture - tableau de bord - côté conducteur - inférieure (retrait et remplacement).
  5. Remove the RH lower instrument panel assembly. See Composante – partie inférieure du tableau de bord – côté gauche (Retirer et remplacer).
  6. Remove the glove box. See Boîte à gants (retrait et remplacement).
  7. Remove the RH footwell cover. See Ensemble - Recouvrement - Espace de jambes - Côté passager (retrait et remplacement).
  8. Release the clips that attach the LH lower A-pillar trim.
  9. Move the LH front seat forward.
  10. Remove the LH front seat rear track covers, and then remove and discard the bolts that attach the rear side of the LH front seat tracks to the floor panel.
  11. Remove and discard the bolts that attach the rear side of RH front seat tracks to floor panel
  12. Move the LH front seat backward.
  13. Remove the LH front seat front track covers, and then remove and discard the bolts that attach the front side of the LH front seat tracks to the floor panel.

  14. Move the seat to the middle of the track and adjust the position of the seat back to the most upright position to aid in removal.
  15. Repeat steps 8 to 14 for the RH seat.
  16. Remove the underhood aprons.
  17. Release the primary and secondary drain tubes from the cabin intake duct assembly.
  18. Release the cabin intake duct assembly from the cowl panel.
  19. Remove the clips (x2) that attach the cabin intake duct assembly.
  20. Remove the HEPA filter outlet duct from the vehicle.
  21. Recover the refrigerant. See Récupération et recharge du fluide frigorigène de climatisation (retrait et remplacement).
  22. Position wheel chocks at the LH rear wheel.
  23. Disconnect 12V power. See Disconnect 12V Power.
  24. Remove the cowl screen panel. See Panneau - Écran d’auvent (retrait et remplacement).
  25. Remove the wiper motor. See Module d’essuie-glace (retirez et remplacez).
  26. Remove the fuse box. See Fusebox - Underhood - 2nd Generation (Remove and Replace).
  27. Remove the LH and RH shock tower braces. See Support de tour d'amortisseur - gauche (retirer et remplacer).
  28. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the brackets to the air suspension reservoir, and then remove the brackets.
  29. Set the air suspension reservoir aside for access.

    Remarque
    Maneuver the reservoir below the A/C line.
  30. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the TXV to the evaporator.

    Discard the O-rings and replace during installation.
  31. Disconnect the A/C hoses and TXV from the HVAC unit.

    Remarque
    Gently pull the lines away from the bulkhead/HVAC unit. Make sure to retain the O-rings at the TXV.
  32. Remove the LH seat. See Ensemble de siège – Première rangée - Droit (retrait et remplacement).

  34. Remove the center console. See Console centrale (retrait et remplacement).
  35. Remove the top pad assembly. See Ensemble - Coussin supérieur - Tableau de bord (retrait et installation).
  36. Remove the DAS ECU. See Module – Autopilote – unité de contrôle électronique – 2e et 3e générations (retrait et remplacement).
  37. Remove the passenger airbag. See Coussin gonflable - passager avant (retirer et remplacer).
  38. Release the clips (x10) that attach the defrost mesh grille assembly, and then remove the defrost mesh grille from the vehicle.
  39. Remove the RH IP finisher. See Ensemble - Enjolivure - Tableau de bord - Droit (retrait et remplacement).
  40. Remove the instrument cluster frame assembly. See Ensemble - Cadre - Groupe d'instruments (retrait et remplacement).
  41. Remove the inner driver's face level vent. See Volet d'aération au visage - Côté conducteur - Intérieur (retrait et remplacement).
  42. Remove the outer driver's face level vent. See Bouche d'aération à la hauteur du visage – côté conducteur – extérieur (retrait et remplacement).
  43. Remove the steering column. See Colonne de direction (retrait et remplacement).
  44. Remove the instrument cluster. See Groupe d'instruments (retrait et remplacement).
  45. Remove the MCU. SeeUnité de commande multimédia (Retirer et installer).
  46. Remove the IP carrier. See Support de tableau de bord (retrait et remplacement).
  47. Disconnect the headliner harness at the LH A-pillar and release it from the vehicle.
  48. Remove the cross car beam harness connectors at the LH lower A-pillar.

    Remarque
    7x connectors. Only release the connectors that run to the harness on the cross car beam.
  49. Disconnect the cross car beam harness connectors at the RH lower A-pillar.

  50. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the cross car beam to the HVAC assembly (torque 10 Nm).
  51. Remove the bolts (x7) that attach the cross car beam to the vehicle (torque 27 Nm).
  52. Remove the cross car beam from the vehicle.

    Remarque
    Recommend assistance. Be cautious when removing the cross car beam, the brake switch is attached to the cross car beam and is susceptible to failure.
  53. Remove the LH and RH lower B-pillar trim. See Garniture – montant B – inférieure – gauche (retrait et installation).
  54. Remove LH and RH upper B-pillar trim and move it aside. See Garniture - Colonne B - Supérieure - Gauche (retirer et installer).
  55. Remove the HVAC assembly. See Système CVC (retirez et remplacez).
  56. Remove the complete interior carpet. See Tapis - intérieur complet (retrait et remplacement).
  57. Remove the HV battery. See Batterie HT (à propulsion/transmission intégrale) (retrait et installation).
  58. Remove all items from pockets and make sure you're not wearing any metal items.
  59. Remove the bolts (x2, torque 8 Nm) and rear DU HV cable clips (x2) from the HV battery LV logic connector bracket.
  60. Release the HV battery LV logic connector cover from the bracket.

  61. Remove the HV battery LV Logic connectors from the bracket.

    2x tabs. Mark which connector goes to which side of the connector for reference during installation.
  62. Push the logic harness through the body to the rear seat area.
  63. Lower the vehicle.
  64. Remove the second row Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) antenna from under the rubber NVH mat and feed it out under the second row seat frame.
  65. Disconnect the second row RKE antenna connector.
  66. Release the harness barrel clip between the charger and the body closest to the connector on the RH side of the vehicle behind the charger.
  67. Disconnect the connector between the charger and the body.
  68. Release the harness barrel clip between the charger and the body.
  69. Release the harness barrel clip below the ground cable to the charger.
  70. Release the harness barrel clip between the coolant hoses.
  71. Release the barrel clips near the coolant pump.
  72. Disconnect the connector at the coolant pump.
  73. Feed the harness out towards the second row door sill.

    Remarque
    Gently lift up on HV cables and coolant hoses to feed the harness out. You can also move the coolant pump and surrounding foam to create room for the rubber grommet and connectors to pass by for removal
  74. Remove the ground bolt at the C-pillar (torque 9 Nm).
  75. Disconnect the connector going to the C-pillar impact sensor.
  76. Remove the latch closeout at the LH C-pillar.
  77. Disconnect LH rear door latch connector.
  78. Disconnect the LH curtain airbag.
  79. Disconnect the LH tail light connector.
  80. Disconnect the charge port connector.
  81. Release the harness clips (x6) in the LH trunk area and move harness to the C pillar area for further removal.
  82. Release the harness clips at the C-pillar under the HV harness clips.
  83. Release the harness connector bracket from the C pillar

  84. Disconnect the rear harness connectors (x4) from the main harness at the C-pillar connector carrier.
  85. Release the harness clips at the C-pillar area.
  86. Disconnect the impact sensor harness connector on the LH B-pillar assembly.
  87. Disconnect LH seatbelt pretensioner connectors.
  88. Release the harness clips at the B-pillar.
  89. Remove LH B-pillar applique. See Panneau de garniture du montant B - gauche (retirer et remplacer) and disconnect the camera harness connector..
  90. Release the harness clips at the B pillar.
  91. Disconnect the connector tucked into the B pillar opening.
  92. Remove the RH floor vent air duct.

    2x tabs, Release the tabs and lift up from the rear portion.
  93. Remove the center floor vent air duct.

    Slide back the rear section of the center duct.

    2x tabs. Release the tabs and lift up from the rear portion
  95. Release the harness clips (x15) along the floor panel.
  96. Remove the main harness seat connectors from their brackets.

    2x clips. Brackets for seat connectors do not come on the new harness and are to be reused on installation.
  97. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
  98. Release the harness clips along the LH sill panel.
  99. Remove the ground bolt at the LH lower A pillar (torque 9 Nm).
  100. Remove and discard the nuts that attach the main harness carrier to the LH lower A pillar (torque 5 Nm).
  101. Release the A pillar harness connectors from the main harness connectors on the main harness carrier at the LH lower A pillar.

  102. Remove the bolts (x8) that attach the RH side footwell cover to expose the body control module and sunroof control module (torque 5 Nm).
  103. Disconnect the connectors from the sunroof control unit at the LH footwell.
  104. Disconnect the connectors from the BCM.

    Remarque
    9x connectors. The BCM may need to be tilted and moved into different positions in order to access and disconnect all connectors.
  105. Remove the BCM bracket with BCM and sunroof ECU.
  106. Release the barrel clips (x4) that attach the main harness at the LH side of the bulkhead.
  107. Remove the rubber protective cover above the air suspension ECU.
  108. Disconnect the connectors (x5) that connect the lower dash harness to the motor bay harness.
  109. Disconnect the RCM and move connectors (x2) aside.
  110. Disconnect the adaptive air suspension ECU connectors (x3).
  111. Lift up the harness connectors and remove the air suspension ECU from the vehicle.
  112. Disconnect the brake switch and accelerator pedal connector.
  113. Remove the clips that attach the brake and accelerator pedal harness to the body.
  114. Disconnect the main harness connectors at the upper A pillar.

    Remarque
    1x connector, windshield defrost, 1x connector to headliner harness.
  115. Remove the bolt that attaches the RH A pillar ground connection )(torque 9 Nm).
  116. Disconnect main harness connectors from the RH A pillar cabin fuse box.
  117. Release the lower RH A pillar connector bracket from the in cabin fuse box.
  118. Release the front trunk connectors (x5) from the RH lower A pillar connector carrier.
  119. Remove the harness from the vehicle.

    Remarque
    Take care not to damage surrounding components while removing the harness from the vehicle. This is a good time to compare to the new harness provided to ensure parts received are compatible with the vehicle.

Install

La procédure d’installation est l’inverse de la procédure de retrait, à l’exception de ce qui suit :
  1. Recharge the refrigerant system after reconnecting 12V power.
  2. Perform a thermal system test. See Système de refroidissement – test thermique.
