Link - Panoramic Roof - 1st Generation - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

Retirer

  1. Remove the sliding glass. See Vitre coulissante - Assemblage du toit panoramique (retrait et remplacement).
  2. Remove LH floor mat.
  3. Remove the LH IP side cover. See Ensemble - Recouvrement latéral du tableau de bord - Côté gauche (retrait et remplacement).
  4. Remove the LH middle A pillar panel. See Panneau - Garniture de montant A - Centre - Gauche (retrait et remplacement).
  5. Remove LH sill panel trim. See Garniture – panneau de seuil – côté gauche (retrait et remplacement).
  6. Remove the driver's side lower trim dash. SeeGarniture - tableau de bord - côté conducteur - inférieure (retrait et remplacement).
  7. Remove driver's footwell cover assembly. See Ensemble – recouvrement – espace pour les jambes – conducteur (retrait et remplacement).
  8. Disconnect premium amplifier if equipped.

    Remarque
    Applies only to vehicle equipped with premium audio.
  9. Remove OBD II connector from tuner bracket.
  10. Disconnect the connectors(x3) and release the edge clip tuner and move harness for clearance.
  11. Remove bolts (x3) securing tuner bracket to IP.
  12. Remove the amp/tuner bracket assembly out through the bottom of IP carrier.

    Remarque
    There's a tab on the bracket that requires sliding assembly forward slightly to release.
  13. Remove the 1st generation panoramic roof side applique. See Applique latérale – toit panoramique – première génération (retrait et remplacement).
  14. Remove LH sunroof motor fasteners (x3) and discard.
  15. Use plastic trim tool to separate LH sunroof motor from motor block.
  16. Disconnect LH sunroof motor connector.
  17. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the left rear camera block to vehicle and then removethe rear camera block.
  18. Use a long bit to move panoramic roof rear left link forward to camera block opening.
  19. Lift up rear left link and remove guide shoe.
  20. Slide panoramic roof rear left link back past frame channel.
  21. Remove the LH rear stop screw.
  22. Remove the LH rear 1st generation panoramic roof link from the vehicle.

    Pull the link rearward.

    You may need to use a big hook to pull it out.
  23. Clean the rail and remove old urethane.
  24. Vacuum any debris from the roof and headliner.

Installer

  1. Insert the rear left link into the drive cable.

    Do not damage the fixed glass seal or side rail. Apply lubrication to ease.
  2. Gently tap the rear left link to move assembly into frame channels.
  3. Use a long bit to move panoramic roof rear left link forward to cam block opening.
  4. Lift up rear left link and install guide shoe.

    Clean guide shoe before installation and install some grease.
  5. Slide panoramic roof rear left link back towards rear opening.

    Line up paint marks at link and panoramic frame.
  6. Install the screws (x2) that attach the left rear camera block to the vehicle.

    Remarque
    T25, 5 Nm.
  7. Install the LH rear stop screw.
  8. Slide panoramic roof front left link back

    Line up paint marks at link and panoramic frame.
  9. Connect LH sunroof motor connector.
  10. Position the LH sunroof motor onto the motor block, and then install new bolts (x3) for LH sunroof motor to motor block.

    T25, 5 Nm.
  11. Install amp/tuner bracket assembly back into IP.

    Make sure tab is above the IP otherwise there will be a large gap near bulkhead.
  12. Install bolts (x3) securing tuner bracket.

    10mm, 6 Nm.
  13. Reconnect tuner connectors (x2) and secure edge clip (x1).
  14. Install the screws (x2) that attache the OBD II male side to bracket.

    T20, 2.3 Nm.
  15. Connect the premium amplifier if equipped.

    Fully seat connector, then engage locking tab.
  16. Install driver's footwell cover assembly. See Ensemble – recouvrement – espace pour les jambes – conducteur (retrait et remplacement) .
  17. Install the driver's side lower trim dash. SeeGarniture - tableau de bord - côté conducteur - inférieure (retrait et remplacement) .
  18. Install LH sill panel trim. See Garniture – panneau de seuil – côté gauche (retrait et remplacement) .
  19. Install LH floor mat.
  20. Install the LH middle A pillar panel. See Panneau - Garniture de montant A - Centre - Gauche (retrait et remplacement).
  21. Install the LH IP side cover. See Ensemble - Recouvrement latéral du tableau de bord - Côté gauche (retrait et remplacement).
  22. Install the sliding glass. See Vitre coulissante - Assemblage du toit panoramique (retrait et remplacement).
  23. Install the 1st generation panoramic roof side applique. See Applique latérale – toit panoramique – première génération (retrait et remplacement).
