Retirer

    Le liquide de frein dissout la peinture. Ayez à portée de main des serviettes propres et beaucoup d’eau afin de nettoyer tout déversement de liquide de frein sur les surfaces peintes, le cas échéant.

  2. Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Coussin de siège - inférieur - appuie-tête - 2e rangée (retirez et remplacez).
  3. Disconnect 12V power. See Alimentation 12 V/BT (déconnectez et connectez).
  4. Set the steering wheel straight ahead and lock it into position.
  5. Remove the front aero shield. See Panneau - écran aérodynamique - avant (retirez et remplacez).
  6. Remove the HVAC plenum outer duct. See Conduit - plénum de CVC - extérieur (retirez et remplacez).
  7. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Unité de rangement sous le capot (retirez et remplacez).
  8. Remove the cowl screen panel. See Panneau - auvent (retirez et remplacez).
  9. Remove the bolt that attaches the steering shaft to steering rack (torque 18 Nm).
  10. Slide the steering shaft off the steering rack and out of the way to gain access to the brake lines.
  11. Remove the battery bracket. See Bride - batterie 12 V (traction arrière) (retirez et remplacez).
  12. Placez le dispositif de vidange d’huile sous l’unité ABS.
  13. Disconnect the coolant temperatur sensor connector from the chiller to battery coolant hose.
  14. Release clip that attaches the harness to the chiller coolant hose.
  15. Put absorbent material below the coolant hose at the chiller.
  16. Release the clip that attaches the battery hose to the chiller, and then disconnect the hose.
  17. Plug the chiller coupling.
  18. Put absorbent material below the car computer coolant hose connection points to collect any spilled coolant.
  19. Disconnect the inner coolant hose to the car computer mount, and then plug the hose.
  20. Disconnect the outer coolant hose to the car computer mount, plug the hose and remove the coolant from the car computer.
  21. Install a car computer coolant plug.
  22. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the ground connections (G098 and G099) to the LH side of the body (torque 10 Nm).

    Note
    Discard thread-cutting tri-lobular bolts after removal. If equipped with new bolts (1447438-00-A), these can be reused.
  23. Release the white harness clip from the body.
  24. Release the black harness clip from the body.
  25. Release the front harness clips (x2) around the LH frame rail area.
  26. Remove the front harness clip from the LH frame rail area.
  27. Disconnect the ground connector (G011) from the LH frame rail area.
  28. Move the LH side of the front harness aside for access.
  29. Disconnect the connector from the ABS unit.
  30. Placez le dispositif de vidange d’huile sous l’unité ABS.
  31. Remove the nut (torque 16 Nm) that attaches the RH front brake line tube to the ABS unit.
  32. Remove the nut that (torque 16 Nm) that attaches the LH rear brake line tube to the ABS unit.
  33. Remove the nut (torque 16 Nm) that attaches the RH rear brake line tube to the ABS unit.
  34. Remove the nut (torque 16 Nm) that attaches the LH front brake line tube to the ABS unit.
  35. Remove the nut (torque 16 Nm) that attaches the master cylinder secondary pipe to the ABS unit.
  36. Remove the nut (torque 16 Nm) that attaches the master cylinder primary pipe to the ABS unit.
  37. Remove the bracket that attaches the master cylinder brake lines and the 4-tube bundle.
  38. Release the master cylinder brake lines from the clip at the rear of the ABS unit bracket.
  39. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the the ABS unit to the frame rail (torque 10 Nm).
  40. RCarefully remove the ABS unit with the bracket from the vehicle.

    Slide the ABS unit towards the 12V battery area to remove.
  41. Put absorbent material underneath the brake booster and reservoir area, and then remove as much brake fluit as possible from the reservoir.
  42. Disconnect the nuts (torque 16 Nm) that attach the front and rear brake lines to the brake booster.
  43. Raise the vehicle to a comfortable working height.
  44. Position a coolant drain container underneath the LH front side of the HV battery.
  45. Remove the clip that attaches the HV battery front manifold hose to the body.
  46. Disconnect the chiller to battery hose from the HV battery front manifold hose.
  47. Plug the male side of the manifold hose.
  48. Remove the coolant hose clip from the 12V battery beam.
  49. Remove the chiller to battery hose from the vehicle.
  50. Release the connector from the bracket.
  51. Disconnect the A/C compressor HV harness connector.
    The connector is a 2 stage push release type. Unlock by pulling back the red tab, and then push the orange lip and pull back ''stage 1''. Push the green lip and pull back to disconnect.
  52. Release the clips (x3) that attach the 12V harness to the body.
  53. Release the clips (x7) that attach the HV cables to the body.
  54. Remove the clips (x2) that attach the brake lines to the body.
  55. Remove the push clip that attaches the RH front wheel liner to the RH rocker panel.
  56. Use a bungee strap to pull back the RH front wheel liner. Secure the strap to the subframe.
  57. Position a coolant drain container underneath the RH front side of the HV battery.
  58. Disconnect the PT supply hose and plug the male side of the hose.
  59. Remove the coolant drain container from underneath the vehicle.
  60. Remove the rear PT supply hose clips at the RH side from the body.
  61. Remove the coolant hose clips (x3) from the 12V battery beam.
  62. Remove the FDU bypass hose clip from the subframe.
  63. Remove the brake line bundle from the vehicle.

    Note
    Shift the bundle towards the RH front, and then remove the brake lines from the steering column area and out between the front subframe cavity.

Installer

La procédure d’installation est l’inverse de la procédure de retrait, à l’exception de ce qui suit :

  1. Before installing the cowl screen panel, fill the superbottle to the appropriate level.

    Make sure that the fluid level is 5 mm above the MAX line.
  2. Run Toolbox 3 routines:
    1. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
    2. Select the "Actions/Autodiag" tab and search for "vcfront".
    3. Select TEST-RESET_VCFRONTSearch for routine in ToolboxVCFRONT UDS ECU ResetLow Voltage / Power Distribution - Reset VCFRONTMid Voltage / Power Distribution - Reset VCFRONT, click "Run". Allow routine to complete.
    4. Select ‘TEST_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-AIR-PURGESearch for routine in ToolboxCoolant Air PurgeThermal / Coolant System - Coolant Purge Starthv / Front Drive Inverter Replacement - Coolant Air Purgehv / Rear Drive Inverter Replacement - Coolant Air Purgehv / Rear Left Drive Inverter Replacement - Coolant Air Purgehv / Rear Right Drive Inverter Replacement - Coolant Air Purgehv / Front Drive Unit Replacement - Coolant Air Purgehv / Rear Drive Unit Replacement - Coolant Air PurgeThermal / Actions - Coolant Purge Stop or Coolant Purge Start ’, click ‘Run’. Allow routine to complete.
  3. Inspect the coolant level in the superbottle and top off as necessary.
  4. Before installing the front aero shield to the vehicle, bleed the brake system. See Saignement/vidage de fluide de frein .
  5. After installation is complete, perform a road test and confirm appropriate brake pedal feel and brake performance.
