  • 2026-05-08: Released new procedure.
  1. Ouvrez le couvre-caisse.
  2. Ouvrez le hayon.
  3. Ouvrez la porte avant gauche et abaissez la glace avant gauche.
  4. Ouvrez le coffre avant électrique.
  5. Use the vehicle touchscreen to open charge port door.
  6. Débranchez l’alimentation MT. Voir Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify),
  7. Verify operation of multimeter

    Set multimeter to DC voltage, Confirm multimeter is properly measuring voltage by testing MV battery, Touch lightly and do not damage terminals
  8. Remove all items from pockets and ensure not wearing metal items

    This includes phones, badges, metal belt buckles airpods and headphones
  9. Inspect HV insulating gloves

    Check gloves for damage prior to use, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003, for information on inspecting HV gloves.
  10. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

    Remarque
    Use HV cut resistant insulated gloves or HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves, HV Insulating gloves must be worn any time a Hioki Tester or Hi-Pot Tester is used, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003 R5 for PPE requirements depending on vehicle configuration
  11. Verify there is no high voltage present at the charge port

    Measure B+ to B-, and B+ to Ground and B - to Ground, Place Alligator clip onto body panel
  12. Remove leather over gloves and HV insulating gloves
  13. Remove the LH rear fore fender flare. See Fender Flare - Fore - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  14. Remove the LH rear aft fender flare. Se Fender Flare - Aft - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  15. Remove the LH rear aft fender flare carrier. See Carrier - Fender Flare - Aft - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  16. Remove the LH rear fore fender flare carrier. See Carrier - Fender Flare - Fore - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  17. Remove the bed floor assembly. See Bed Floor Assembly (Long Range) (Remove and Install).
  18. Remove the LH sail applique. See Sail Applique - LH (Remove and Install) (Post 11/4/2024).
  19. Remove the LH tonneau water management seal. See Water Management Seal - LH - Center - Tonneau (Remove and Install).
  20. Remove the LH upper bed side wall. See Bed Side Wall Assembly - Upper - LH (Remove and Install).
  21. Remove the LH rear bed closeout. See Bed Closeout - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  22. Remove the LH lower bed side wall. See Bed Side Wall - LH (Standard) (Remove and Install).
  23. Remove the bolt that attaches the busbar HV connector lid.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)

  24. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the HV connector to the DC FC header.

  25. Release the HV connector from the DC FC header, and then use an inflatable airbag to suspend the busbar assembly above the ancillary assembly.
  26. Disconnect the charge port assembly electrical connector.

    Remove the white locking tab. Press the tab to release the connection from the charge port. Continue to pull off connector. The charge port connection is intended to disengage the safety cap when released.

    Do not push down on the red tab. Pull the red tab to disengage lock. Pull again to release the electrical connector.
  27. Release the clip and disconnect the charge port door LV electrical connectors (x2).
  28. Remove the bolt that attaches the ground cable to the busbar assembly.
    6.5 Nm (4.8 lbs-ft)

  29. Remove the bolt that attaches the charge port to the outer sail.

  31. Remove the charge port and busbar assembly from the vehicle.
  32. Clean the DC FC header contact surface of residual Penetrox with an Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) wipe.

    Allow 1 minute dry time after removing Penetrox.
  33. Clean the busbar HV connector contact surface of residual Penetrox.

    It is necessary to clean the HV connector during reuse of the busbar.
  34. Apply Penetrox onto the HV connector joints.

    Apply 2 drops of Penetrox A-13 about 5 mm in diameter to either side of the hole on both leads. Spread evenly to verify the contact surface is fully covered.
  35. Position the charge port busbar assembly onto the vehicle.
  36. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the charge port busbar kit to the HV header.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)

  37. Perform a Hioki resistance test at each HV joint from the HV busbar lead to the bolt head.

    When using a Hioki tester, verify the meter has been properly adjusted and set prior to usage.

    The acceptable resistance is between 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ) and 0.195 mΩ (195 μΩ).
    • If the resistance is greater than 0.195 mΩ (195 μΩ), there is too much resistance in the High Voltage joint. Remove the fastener, clean areas with isopropyl alcohol, install fastener back and test again.
    • If the resistance is lower than 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), reposition the probes and measure again.
    • If the resistance is repeatedly between 0.00 mΩ and 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), the Hioki test passed. proceed to the next step.
  38. Install the bolt that attaches the busbar HV connector lid.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)

  40. Install the bolt that attaches the charge port to the outer sail.
    6.5 Nm (4.8 lbs-ft)

  42. Connect the charge port door electrical connectors (x2) and fasten clip.
  43. Connect the charge port electrical connector.

    Fully engage the connection and white locking tab. The electrical connector is intended to lock the safety cap in place.

  51. Install the LH rear aft fender flare carrier. See Carrier - Fender Flare - Aft - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  52. Install the LH rear fore fender flare. See Fender Flare - Fore - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  53. Install the LH rear aft fender flare. See Fender Flare - Aft - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  54. Branchez l'alimentation électrique MT. Voir Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify),
  55. Installez le tablier sous le capot. Voir Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Install),
  56. Remontez la glace avant gauche et fermez la porte avant gauche.
  57. Fermez le couvre-caisse.
  58. Fermez le hayon.
