  1. Ouvrez la porte avant gauche et abaissez la vitre avant gauche.
  2. Soulevez et soutenez le véhicule. Voir Soulever le véhicule - pont élévateur à 2 poteaux.
  3. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3.0 (connecter et déconnecter).
  4. Déverrouillez la passerelle du véhicule. Voir Passerelle (déverrouiller).
  5. In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "EPB enter service mode".
  6. Click PROC_EPB_X_SERVICE-MODEvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode:
    • Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ EPB Service Mode
    • Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ EPB Service Mode
    via Service Mode Plus: Drive Unit ➜ Rear Drive Unit Replacement ➜ Release / Re-Engage Emergency Parking Brake
    , and then select the following:
    1. EPB Selection: BOTH
    2. Action Selection: START
    3. Click Run and allow the routine to complete.

  7. Remove all 4 wheel caps and loosen all the wheel nuts. See Wheel Cover - Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  8. Raise the vehicle fully.
  9. Remove the LH front wheel. See Ensemble de roue (retrait et installation).
  10. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH front brake hose bracket to the knuckle.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  11. Remove the brake pad anti-rattle springs (x2) from the LH front brake caliper.

    Release the tab, and then remove the spring from the caliper. Repeat for the remaining anti-rattle spring.
  12. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front caliper to the knuckle, and then set the caliper aside.
    315 Nm (232.3 lbs-ft)

    The rotor will be loose until the caliper is reinstalled. Use lug nut to secure the rotor as needed.

  13. Remove the brake pads from the LH front caliper.
  14. Clean the LH front brake pads.

    Remarque
    Use a wire brush and pick as needed. Clean any debris from the central groove in the brake pad friction surface.
  15. Clean the LH front brake caliper.

    Use a nylon brush and brake cleaner as needed. Allow 1 minute of dry time.
  16. Clean the LH front brake caliper anti-rattle springs (x2).

    Use soapy water or brake cleaner as needed. Allow 1 minute of dry time.
  17. Remove the LH front brake rotor.
  18. Inspect the inner and outer brake rotor vents and surface for debris, and then clean the rotor as needed.

    Make sure the rotor mating surface to the hub is clean on the inboard and outboard faces.
  19. Install the LH front brake rotor.

    The rotor will be loose until the caliper is reinstalled.
  20. Apply an even layer of Silaramic lubricant onto both LH brake pad guide contact points.
  21. Install the brake pads (x2) into the LH front caliper.
  22. With assistance, position the LH front caliper onto the knuckle, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the caliper to the knuckle.
    315 Nm (232.3 lbs-ft)

  23. Install the brake pad anti-rattle springs (x2) into the LH front brake caliper.
  24. Install the bolt that attaches the LH front brake hose bracket to the knuckle.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  25. Install the LH front wheel onto the vehicle and hand-tighten the lug nuts (x6).
  26. Remove the LH rear wheel. See Ensemble de roue (retrait et installation).
  27. Release the locking tab, and then disconnect the EPB harness electrical connector from the LH rear brake caliper.
  28. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH rear brake line to upper control arm, and then release the line from the control arm.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  29. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH rear caliper to the bracket.

  30. Pivot the LH rear caliper upward.
  31. Remove the LH rear caliper pad return springs (x2).

  32. Remove the brake pads (x2) from the LH rear caliper bracket.
  33. Use a wire brush to remove any dust or debris from the LH rear brake pads.
  34. Clean the LH rear brake caliper and brake pad guide surfaces.

  35. Apply an even layer of Silaramic lubricant to the LH rear brake pad contact points and pad guides.
  36. Install the brake pads (x2) into the LH rear caliper bracket.

    Make sure the pads seat correctly onto the guides.
  37. Install the LH rear caliper pad return springs (x2).

    Hold the pads, and then install each spring one at a time.
  38. Pivot the LH rear caliper downward into position.

  39. Install the bolt that attaches the LH rear caliper to the bracket.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)

  40. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH rear brake caliper to the knuckle, and then use an S-hook to hang the caliper to the body.

  41. Remove the LH rear brake rotor.

    150 Nm (110.6 lbs-ft)

  45. Position the LH rear brake line to the upper control arm, and then install the bolt that attaches the line to the control arm.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  46. Connect the EPB harness electrical connector to the LH rear brake caliper, and then engage the connector lock.
  47. Install the LH rear wheel, and then install and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  48. Repeat step 9 through step 47 for the RH front and rear brakes.
  49. Lower the vehicle until the tires are touching the ground.
  50. Press brake pedal, and then select park on the UI to disable EPB service mode.
  51. Torque all the wheel nuts and install the all 4 wheel covers. See Ensemble de roue (retrait et installation).
  52. Retirez le véhicule du pont élévateur. Voir Soulever le véhicule - pont élévateur à 2 poteaux.
  53. Remontez la glace avant gauche et fermez la porte avant gauche.
