Power off vehicle from center display

Remove rear underhood apron

Disconnect first responder loop and MV battery connector
Remarque2x connectors, Release locking tab then disconnect FRL connector, Slide eCPA to left then lift lever to release MV battery connector, Early production trucks may have black FRL connector, Release eCPA by pushing down to unlock and slide red locking tab, Wait 2 minutes for electrical circuits to discharge before disconnecting modules

Verify operation of multimeter
RemarqueSet multimeter to DC voltage, Confirm multimeter is properly measuring voltage by testing MV battery, Touch lightly and do not damage terminals

Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
RemarqueSet vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged

Remove rear skid plate
Remarque6x clips, 3x bolts, 15mm, 42 Nm, 5x bolts, 13mm, 28 Nm, 2x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

Remove all items from pockets and ensure not wearing metal items

Inspect HV insulating gloves
RemarqueCheck gloves for damage prior to use, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003, for information on inspecting HV gloves.

Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves
RemarqueUse HV cut resistant insulated gloves or HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves, HV Insulating gloves must be worn any time a Hioki Tester or Hi-Pot Tester is used, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003 R5 for PPE requirements depending on vehicle configuration.

Verify no HV - Install amp clamp to RDU HV harness
RemarqueVerify meter is zeroed out before performing measurement, Measure single cable. Verify ammeter is installed in correct direction. If current > 0.5A do not proceed with disconnecting HV connector. In this case, start vehicle electrical isolation again to make sure that all was properly shut down. Escalate for assistance as requiredIf current < 0.5A, Ok to disconnect and check voltage at HV plug on the battery side.Release locking tab and rotate the release lever up to disengage the connector, Release harness clip, Do not force the release lever up, Ensure the alignment tabs on the RDU header are not damagedMake sure to wear PPE (HV gloves, safety glasses) when working on high voltage component, Measure B+ to Ground, B- to Ground, B+ to B-, If voltage is greater than 10V, Pack contactors are not open or welded, Stop work and reach out to Service Engineering

Lower vehicle partially and set lift onto locks
RemarqueRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height

Remove LH front wheel cap
Remarque1x cap, 8x clips, Use both hands to firmly pull wheel cap to release clips, Cap may remove with or without mounting ring attached

Remove LH front wheel
Remarque6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm

Remove RH front wheel cap
Remarque1x cap, 8x clips, Use both hands to firmly pull wheel cap to release clips, Cap may remove with or without mounting ring attached

Remove RH front wheel

Remove frunk assembly
Remarque6x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm, 2x bolt caps, 2x bumpstops, 1x connector, Remove bolt covers from frunk floor, Remove washer fluid cap by gently prying upwards, Rotate bumpstops counter clockwise to release, the 25mm socket from PT Sensor kit can be used, Avoid straining emergency frunk release connector

Remove front center applique
Remarque8x tabs, 1x connector, Release upper 4 tabs by pushing down then gently pull away, Release frunk release trigger connector

Remove front fascia fasteners
Remarque2x covers, 6x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, Remove tow hook covers to expose bolts

Release clips securing front portion of the LH front wheel house liner

Remove front fascia LH side fastener
Remarque1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, Pull wheel liner back for access

Release clips securing front portion of the RH front wheel house liner

Remove front fascia RH side fastener and connectors

Remove front lower fascia assembly

Disconnect radiator to manifold hose from radiator and plug connections

Release harness from CFM
Remarque1x grommet, 2x connectors, 5x harness clips, Pull red locking tab to disengage louver connector, Release temperature sensor then disconnect, Release grommet and pull harness through from frunk area

Disconnect CFM connectors

Remove upper CFM fasteners

Remove lower CFM fasteners

Remove fore crossmember

Remove powertrain return hose from FDU and plug connections
Remarque1x spring clip, Release from heat exchanger, plug hose and exchanger

Disconnect powertrain return hose and plug connections
Remarque1x spring clip, 1x mounting clip, plug hoses

Disconnect front steering actuator
Remarque4x connectors, Release locking tabs

Disconnect front drive unit breather
Remarque1x breather hose

Disconnect front drive unit harness connector
Remarque1x connector, 1x harness clip, Release locking tab

Release front end harness from subframe
Remarque2x stud clips

Remove LH front brake hose bracket
Remarque1x bolt, 10mm, 10 Nm
-
Remove LH front caliper and set aside
Remarque2x bolts, 24mm, 315 Nm, Rotor will be loose until caliper is installed, Use lug nut to secure rotor as needed

Release LH chassis jumper harness from knuckle
Remarque1x connector, 2x harness clips

Release LH front damper from lower control arm
Remarque2x bolts, 21mm, 140 Nm, break bolts loose with breaker bar before using power tools
-
Remove nut securing LH front upper control arm to knuckle
Remarque1x nut, 18mm, 85 Nm, Use step ladder as needed, the upper control arm is under tension, use caution when removing nut

Remove RH front brake hose bracket
Remarque1x bolt, 10mm, 10 Nm
-
Remove RH front caliper and set aside
Remarque2x bolts, 24mm, 315 Nm, Rotor will be loose until caliper is installed

Release RH chassis jumper harness from knuckle
Remarque1x connector, 2x harness clips

Release RH front damper from lower control arm
Remarque2x bolts, 21mm, 140 Nm

Remove nut securing RH front upper control arm to knuckle
Remarque1x nut, 18mm, 85 Nm, Use step ladder as needed, the upper control arm is under tension, use caution when removing nut

Raise vehicle fully
RemarqueSet to a comfortable working height, Lower to locks, Ensure locks engage on both sides to prevent tilting

Release RH front wheel liner from HV battery chinstrap
Remarque1x push clip, 2x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm
-
Position coolant drain container underneath RH front of HV battery
-
Disconnect powertrain supply hoses and plug connections
Remarque1x spring clips, 1x clips, Plug hoses
-
Release ground strap from HV Battery chinstrap
Remarque1x bolt, 10mm, 10 Nm
-
Remove bolt securing FDU HV harness to the FDU
Remarque1x bolt

Disconnect FDU HV harness connector
Remarque1x connector, Release locking tab and rotate the release lever up to disengage the connector, Do not force the release lever up, Ensure the alignment tabs on the FDU header are not damaged

Install subframe fixture to subframe lifting tool
Remarquesecure fixture to lifting tool with at least two fasteners, bolts sizes will vary

Move the subframe lifting tool underneath the front subframe area
-
Connect air supply to subframe lifting tool
-
Secure lifting tool onto front subframe
RemarqueRecommend assistance, Secure subframe to subframe lifting tool with straps,

Position rear support posts onto FDU
RemarqueBoth FDU supports need to engage the FDU, The left side post is dimpled and fits into a recess on the FDU and the right side post has a teflon block that sits against the FDU, Both posts are threaded and the handle should be turned until the posts are tight

Remove RH FDU mount bolt
Remarque1x bolt, E18, 85 Nm, Early production vehicles may have 16mm bolt

Remove LH FDU mount bolt
Remarque1x bolt, E18, 85 Nm, Access through hole in HCU bracket, Early production vehicles may have 16mm bolt

Remove subframe bolts
Remarque2x bolts, 24mm, 220 Nm, 2x bolts, 21mm, 220 Nm, 4x bolts, 24mm, 215 Nm, Rearmost four bolts with stud have lower torque value of 215 Nm

Lower subframe from vehicle
RemarqueRecommend assistance, Watch for any missed connections or trapped harnesses when lowering

Disconnect air supply from subframe lifting tool
-
Remove subframe lifting tool from under vehicle
-
Disconnect front brake pipe assembly from LH front jounce hose and LH brake pipe assembly
Remarque2x flare nuts, 14mm, 16 Nm

Disconnect front brake pipe assembly from RH front jounce hose and RH brake pipe assembly
Remarque2x flare nuts, 14mm, 16 Nm

Disconnect front brake pipe assembly from brake HCU
Remarque4x flare nuts,14mm, 16 Nm

Disconnect HV compressor harness from HV compressor
Remarque1x connector, 8x clips, Secure harness away from brake pipe bundle

Remove front brake pipe assembly
Remarque4x clips, Remove towards the left side of the vehicle

Install front brake pipe assembly
Remarque4x clips, Install towards the right side of the vehicle

Connect HV compressor harness onto HV compressor
Remarque1x connector, 8x clips

Install front brake pipe assembly onto brake HCU
Remarque4x flare nuts,14mm, 16 Nm

Connect front brake pipe assembly onto RH front jounce hose and left brake pipe assembly

Connect front brake pipe assembly onto LH front jounce hose and LH brake pipe assembly

Position subframe lifting tool with subframe assembly under vehicle

Connect shop air supply to powertrain table

Raise drive unit and subframe into position

Install LH lower control arm shield

Install front skid plate

Install fore crossmember
Remarque2x bolts, 18mm, 90 Nm, Lift CFM away from beam to aid in clearance, Install beam by sliding rewards

Install lower CFM fasteners
Remarque2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm
-
Connect CFM connectors
Remarque2x connectors, 4x clips
-
Install upper CFM fasteners
Remarque2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm
-
Secure harness to CFM
Remarque1x grommet, 2x connector, 1x harness clip, Secure grommet then connect temperature sensor, Engage locking tab on louver connector

Connect radiator inlet coolant hose
Remarque1x spring clips,Ensure hose is fully engaged with a push-pull-push test
-
Connect radiator to manifold hose to radiator
Remarque1x spring clip, Ensure hose is fully engaged with a push-pull-push test

Install front lower fascia assembly
RemarqueEnsure no harnesses are pinched
-
Install RH fascia fastener and connectors
Remarque1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, 1x clip, 3x connectors, Pull wheel liner back for access, Engage locking tab

Secure RH wheel liner
Remarque4x clips

Install LH fascia fastener
Remarque1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, Pull wheel liner back for access

Secure LH wheel liner
Remarque4x clips

Install front fascia fasteners and covers
Remarque2x covers, 6x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, Install tow hook covers

Install front center applique
Remarque8x tabs, 1x connector, Ensure all tabs engage, Secure frunk release trigger connector

Clean area around brake fluid reservoir and remove brake reservoir cap
-
Check brake fluid level and top off reservoir if necessary
RemarqueIf level is above Max line, remove extra fluid

Fill brake bleeder reservoir to full level
RemarqueUse only DOT 4 brake fluid
-
Install pressure bleeder adapter onto reservoir
RemarqueAttach the brake reservoir hose to the brake adapter at this time
-
Set pressure to 30psi
RemarqueConnect power supply to bleeder and turn on the power to set pressure to 30 psi
-
Remove bleeding valve covers and install the fluid catching bottle to LH front outer brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

Manually bleed LH front brake caliper by opening LH front brake caliper outer and inner bleeding valves
Remarque2x bleeding valves, 11mm, 18.5 Nm (+/- 2 Nm) Base and Plus calipers, Begin with the outer valve first then move on to the inner valve then conclude with the outer valve again, Repeat step till clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of LH front brake caliper bleeding outer and inner valves

Remove bleeding valve covers and install the fluid catching bottle to RH front outer brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

Remarque2x bleeding valves, 11mm, 18.5 Nm (+/- 2 Nm) Base and Plus calipers, Begin with the outer valve first then move on to the inner valve then conclude witht he outer valve again, Repeat step till clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of RH front brake caliper bleeding outer and inner valves

Remove bleeding valve cover and install the fluid catching bottle to RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

Manually bleed RH rear brake caliper by opening RH rear brake caliper outer and inner bleeding valves
Remarque1x bleeding valve, 10mm, 10 Nm (+/- 3 Nm) Base caliper, 14 Nm (+/- 2 Nm) Plus caliper, Repeat step till clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve

Remove bleeding valve cover and install the fluid catching bottle to LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

Remarque1x bleeding valve, 10mm, 10 Nm, Push pedal to floor, Repeat step till clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve

Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3
RemarqueOBD-II connection is integrated into drivers lower IP cover, Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to vehicle, Select connection status icon at top right corner then select connect locally, Icon will turn green when connected, Successful connection will automatically unlock vehicle gateway and place UI in Service Mode Plus
- Select "Actions" tab and search for ‘"bleed"

Open the LH front outer brake caliper bleeding valve then Click the play button next to PROC_ESP_FRONT-L-REAR-R-BRAKE-BLEED and select "Run" to start the ESP and then close the bleeding valve once the pump stops running
Remarque1x bleeding valve, 11mm, 18.5 Nm, Make sure valve is hand tight when closed

Open the LH front inner brake caliper bleeding valve then Click the play button next to PROC_ESP_FRONT-L-REAR-R-BRAKE-BLEED and select "Run" to start the ESP and then close the bleeding valve once the pump stops running
Remarque1x bleeding valves, 11mm, 18.5 Nm, Make sure valve is hand tight when closed

Repeat the above steps untill clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of the LH front brake caliper bleeding valve
Remarque1x bleeding valve, 11mm, 18.5 Nm, Finish bleeding on the outer valve, Make sure valve is hand tight when closed

Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque LH front brake caliper bleeding valves and install covers
Remarque2x bleeding valves, 11mm, 18.5 Nm, 2x covers

Open the RH front outer brake caliper bleeding valve then Click the play button next to PROC_ESP_FRONT-R-REAR-L-BRAKE-BLEED and select "Run" to start the ESP and then close the bleeding valve once the pump stops running
Remarque1x bleeding valve, 11mm, 18.5 Nm, Make sure valve is hand tight when closed

Open the RH front inner brake caliper bleeding valve then Click the play button next to PROC_ESP_FRONT-R-REAR-L-BRAKE-BLEED and select "Run" to start the ESP and then close the bleeding valve once the pump stops running

Repeat the above steps untill clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of the RH front brake caliper bleeding valve
Remarque1x bleeding valve, 11mm, 18.5 Nm, Finish bleeding on the outer valve, Make sure valve is hand tight when closed

Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque RH front brake caliper bleeding valves and install covers

Open the RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve then Click the play button next to PROC_ESP_FRONT-L-REAR-R-BRAKE-BLEED and select "Run" to start the ESP and then close the bleeding valve once the pump stops running
Remarque1x bleeding valve, 10mm, 10 Nm, Make sure valve is hand tight when closed

Repeat the above step until clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of the RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve

Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve and install cover
Remarque1x bleeding valve, 10mm, 10 Nm, 1x cover

Open the LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve then Click the play button next to PROC_ESP_FRONT-R-REAR-L-BRAKE-BLEED and select "Run" to start the ESP and then close the bleeding valve once the pump stops running
Remarque1x bleeding valve, 10mm, 10 Nm, Make sure valve is hand tight when closed

Repeat the above step until clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of the LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve

Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve and install cover
Remarque1x bleeding valve, 10mm, 10 Nm, 1x cover

Turn off and remove pressure brake bleeder kit from vehicle
-
Check brake fluid level and top off reservoir if necessary
RemarqueIf level is above Max line, remove extra fluid
-
Install brake reservoir cap
- Pump brake pedal a few times to ensure pedal feels normal

Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground
RemarqueRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

Torque RH front wheel nuts
Remarque6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm, Use star pattern

Install RH front wheel cap
Remarque1x cap, 8x clips, Partially secure wheel cap to wheel, While partially installed wheel cover can be rotated to align with tire design, When aligned press inward from center of cap then secure all clips to mounting ring

Torque LH front wheel nuts
Remarque6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm, Use star pattern

Install LH front wheel cap
Remarque1x cap, 8x clips, Partially secure wheel cap to wheel, While partially installed wheel cover can be rotated to align with tire design, When aligned press inward from center of cap then secure all clips to mounting ring

Install coolant reservoir adaptor cap onto coolant bottle assembly

Place empty coolant container into front storage area
RemarqueIf frunk is not installed take caution, CFM fan shroud assembly cannot support a full coolant container, Ensure overflow container is empty, Place fender cover over FEM and front fascia

Fill container with at least 15L of coolant
-
Place filled coolant container onto coolant drain & fill cart
RemarqueDo not place container with 15L of coolant on top of CFM fan shroud, Position cart as close as possible to front of vehicle

Setup coolant refill tool
RemarqueVerify all valves on refill tool are in the closed position, See image for clarity

Install vacuum refill hose to refill cap on coolant bottle
RemarquePerform push-pull-push test to verify hose is fully installed

Position overflow hose into empty container
-
Place refill hose inside filled coolant container
RemarqueMake sure hose end is fully submerged into coolant
-
Connect shop air supply to coolant refill tool
RemarqueIf not already done, Verify refill valve is set to off
-
Open air inlet valve to draw a vacuum, Once gauge stabilizes, Fully close valve
RemarqueGauge stabilizes roughly (60-70 cmHg), Vacuum should not drop after the valves are closed

Slowly open the refill valve to allow coolant to be drawn into the system
RemarqueMake sure hose end of refill hose is fully submerged during entire process

Once the gauge reads zero, close the coolant refill valve
-
Remove shop air supply to coolant refill tool
RemarqueIf not already done, Verify refill valve is set to off
-
Remove coolant refill hose from coolant container
-
Remove coolant overflow hose from coolant container
-
Remove vacuum refill hose from refill cap on coolant bottle
-
Remove vacuum refill cap from coolant bottle assembly
-
Remove coolant refill tool from vehicle
RemarqueMove coolant drain & fill cart away from vehicle

Remove coolant container from inside underhood area

Access thermal system routines using the UI
RemarqueSelect quick controls > Service mode > Diagnostics > Thermal, Authorize routines by holding right turn signal, depressing brake pedal for 10 seconds with key on phone dock

Select "Start Coolant Air Purge" using the UI
RemarqueTouch time only, wait until coolant pumps stop running (audible noise), Routine Passed will appear, but pumps will run for 10 minutes, If you start next another routine during this time it will fail, Make sure vehicle is not in "Drive", Routine is still running despite the completed message, Speeds can be monitored in garage under PT Thermal tab, Idle speed = ~1500 RPM, Test will vary speeds from 3500-6500 RPM and actuate valves between SERIES and PARALLEL, Putting vehicle into "Drive" will stop this routine, If speeds hover at 7000 RPM, this indicates the pumps are air locked, perform a vacuum fill, Continue to add coolant and purge until the coolant level reaches between the NOM and MAX Lines on the bottle

Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary
RemarqueEnsure that the fluid level is at the Max line, Top off fluid as required

Install coolant bottle cap

Install frunk assembly
Remarque6x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm, 2x bolt caps, 2x bumpstops, 1x connector, Install bolt covers to frunk floor, Install washer fluid cap, Install bumpstops by aligning tabs then turning clockwise, Ensure emergency frunk release functions

Install rear underhood apron
Remarque9x clips, Adjust windshield seal as required

Close powered front trunk
RemarqueVia exterior switch or UI

Remove vehicle from lift
RemarqueLower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode"

Raise LH front window
-
Close LH front door
- Review wheel alignment requirements and add correction code as needed
