1. Raise and support vehicle
   Remarque

   Ensure vehicle is not charging, Remove charging cable if it's plugged in

   

   

   

2. Open LH front door

   

3. Lower LH front window

   

4. Exécutez la routine ODIN PROC_ICE_X_ENTER-SERVICE-MODEvia Toolbox:(link)

6. Access thermal system routines via UI
   Remarque

   Select Service mode > Thermal

8. Open hood

   

   

9. Power off vehicle from center display
   Remarque

   Via Controls > Safety > Power Off, Select Power Off button at warning dialogue box

   

   

10. Remove rear apron
    Remarque

    16x trim clips, 3x datums, 2x clips

    

    

    

    

11. Remove HEPA filter assembly
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm, Pivot rear edge up past brake reservoir then lift up to clear frunk assembly

    

    

    

    

12. Disconnect LV battery and first responder loop
    Remarque

    2x connectors, Ensure that one minute has passed after window movement before performing the power-off, Release green locking tab, Press black tab then pull black connector lock outwards to release connection, Release red lock tab on FRL, Allow 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge

    

    

    

    

    

13. Remove frunk access panel
    Remarque

    3x clips, 3x tabs, 1x connector, Newer vehicles will not be equipped with emergency release switch

    

    

    

14. Remove bolts securing frunk to vehicle
    Remarque

    4x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

15. Remove frunk from vehicle
    Remarque

    4x clips, 3x tabs, 2x trim clips, Replace any clips if broken or missing

    

    

    

    

16. Remove air intake duct
    Remarque

    2x clips, 1x align pin, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, Gently pry pin out from thermal beam then remove duct from bulkhead studs

    

    

    

    

17. Remove steering gear harness clips from frunk support beam
    Remarque

    3x clips

    

18. Remove bolts securing frunk support beam to vehicle
    Remarque

    2x bolts, E14, 46.5 Nm

    

19. Remove frunk support beam from cooling fan module assembly
    Remarque

    2x alignment tabs, Slide the frunk support beam towards rear of vehicle

    

    

    

20. Disconnect active grille shutter actuator connector
    Remarque

    1x connector, Pull tab to release lock then pull again to release connector, Do not press down on tab

    

21. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged

    

    

22. Remove bolts securing front aero shield
    Remarque

    7x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

23. Remove front aero shield
    Remarque

    2x nuts, 15mm, 5 Nm

    

    

    

24. Remove clips secure LH wheel liner to front fascia and valance
    Remarque

    3x push clips

    

25. Remove clips secure RH wheel liner to front fascia and valance
    Remarque

    3x push clips

    

26. Remove both side bolts securing valance to fascia
    Remarque

    2x bolts, T40, 2.5Nm

    

    

27. Disconnect superhorn connector
    Remarque

    1x clip, 1x connector, Do not push down on Red tab, Pull red tab to disengage lock, Pull again to release connector

    

    

28. Remove valance from front fascia
    Remarque

    3x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, 4x bolts, T40, 2.5 Nm, 6x location tabs

    

    

    

    

29. Place coolant catcher below LH front of vehicle

    

30. Disconnect radiator inlet hose from radiator
    Remarque

    1x spring clip, Plug hose and radiator as needed

    

    

31. Place coolant catcher below RH front of vehicle

    

32. Disconnect radiator outlet hose from radiator
    Remarque

    1x spring clip, Plug hose and radiator as needed

    

    

33. Remove coolant catcher from under vehicle

    

34. Disconnect cooling fan connector
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

    

35. Place jack to under cooling fan module assembly
    Remarque

    prevent cooling fan module assembly falling

    

36. Remove LH bolt securing cooling fan module assembly to front end module
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 8mm, 6 Nm, Be careful not to lose the bolt washer

    

    

37. Remove RH bolt securing cooling fan module assembly to front end module
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 8mm, 6 Nm, Be careful not to lose the bolt washer

    

    

38. Remove ambient temperature sensor from cooling fan module
    Remarque

    1x clip, 1x grommet, Depress tabs to release connector clip

    

    

    

39. Remove cooling fan module assembly from vehicle
    Remarque

    Move jack aside as needed, recommended assistance

    

    

    

40. Remove active grille shutter from cooling fan module
    Remarque

    14x locking tabs, Release locking tabs securing active grill shutter to cooling fan and shroud assembly

    

    

    

    

    

41. Remove radiator from cooling fan module assembly
    Remarque

    2x locking tab, 2x holding mount, Release upper and lower locking tabs securing radiator to cooling fan and shroud assembly then draw out from holding mount, If new radiator assembly is found without stone guard follow Stand Alone procedure 18302500402If found with stone guard follow Stand Alone procedure

    

    

    

42. Remove stone guard
    Remarque

    2x clips, 2x datums

    

    

43. Clean debris from radiator
    Remarque

    Vacuum both sides of radiator, Do not damage fins of radiator

    

    

44. Clean radiator with compressed air
    Remarque

    Clean both sides of radiator with compressed air, Do not damage fins of radiator

    

    

    

45. Install stone guard
    Remarque

    2x clips, 2x datums

    

    

46. Install thermal foam liner
    Remarque

    3x foam strips

    

    

47. Install radiator to fan and shroud
    Remarque

    2x locking tabs, 2x slots, Slide radiator into slots on shroud then push downwards to engage locking tabs

    

    

    

    

    

48. Install active grille shutter to cooling fan module
    Remarque

    14x locking tabs, Ensure all tabs are engaged

    

    

    

    

    

49. Install ambient temperature sensor to active grille shutter
    Remarque

    2x locking tabs, 1x rubber plug, ensure sensor locking tabs on correct position

    

    

    

    

50. Install cooling fan module assembly to vehicle
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 8mm, 6 Nm, Loosely install LH and RH bolts, make sure that washers are aligned, Be careful not to lose the bolt washer

    

    

    

    

    

51. Torque RH bolt securing cooling fan module assembly to front end module
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 8mm, 6 Nm

    

52. Torque LH bolt securing cooling fan module assembly to front end module
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 8mm, 6 Nm

    

53. Remove jack from under cooling fan module assembly

    

54. Connect cooling fan connector
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

    

55. Place coolant catcher below LH front of vehicle

    

56. Connect radiator inlet hose to radiator
    Remarque

    1x spring clip, Remove plugs from both ends of the coolant connection, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hose is fully seated

    

    

57. Place coolant catcher below RH front of vehicle

    

58. Connect radiator outlet hose to radiator
    Remarque

    1x spring clip, Remove plugs from both ends of the coolant connection, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hose is fully seated

    

    

59. Remove coolant catcher from under vehicle

    

60. Lower vehicle fully
    Remarque

    Raise lift off locks, Then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

    

    

    

61. Install frunk support beam to cooling fan module assembly
    Remarque

    2x alignment tabs, Position alignment tabs to support beam mounts

    

    

    

62. Install bolts securing frunk support beam to vehicle
    Remarque

    2x bolts, E14, 46.5 Nm

    

63. Secure steering gear harness clips to frunk support beam
    Remarque

    3x clips

    

64. Connect active grille shutter actuator connector
    Remarque

    1x connector, Engage locking tab

    

65. Install frunk onto vehicle
    Remarque

    4x clips, 3x tabs, 2x trim clips, Replace any clips if broken or missing, Ensure aero seal is positioned over frunk leading edge and not under leading edge

    

    

    

    

    

66. Install bolts securing frunk to vehicle
    Remarque

    4x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

67. Install frunk access panel
    Remarque

    3x clips, 3x tabs, 1x connector, Newer vehicles will not be equipped with emergency release switch

    

    

    

68. Place towel into front storage area
    Remarque

    Prevent front storage area pollution

    

69. Remove coolant bottle cap

    

    

70. Place empty coolant container into front storage area

    

71. Fill container with coolant
    Remarque

    Do not draw in air during fill process, For RWD, The entire system requires coolant is 15L, for AWD, The entire system requires coolant is 18L

    

72. Place filled coolant container into front storage area

    

73. Install coolant reservoir adapter cap onto coolant bottle assembly
    Remarque

    (*Use step for Model Y & NV36 coolant procedures)1x adapter cap, Adapter found in Vacuum Refill kit, turn clockwise to tighten cap onto coolant bottle

    

    

    

74. Setup vacuum refill tool
    Remarque

    Verify all valves on refill tool are in the closed position, See image for clarity

    

    

75. Connect vacuum refill hose to refill cap on coolant bottle
    Remarque

    Perform push-pull-push test to verify hose is fully engaged

    

    

76. Position overflow hose into empty container

    

77. Place refill hose inside filled coolant container
    Remarque

    Make sure hose end is fully submerged into coolant

    

78. Connect shop air supply to coolant refill tool

    

79. Open air inlet valve to draw a vacuum, Once gauge stabilizes, Fully close valve
    Remarque

    Gauge stabilizes roughly (60-70 cmHg), Vacuum should not drop after the valves are closed

    

    

    

80. Monitor gauge for 30 seconds to verify a vacuum is maintained in cooling system

    

81. Slowly open refill valve to allow coolant to be drawn into system
    Remarque

    Make sure hose end of refill hose is fully submerged during entire process

    

82. Once gauge reads zero, close refill valve

    

    

83. Disconnect shop air supply from coolant refill tool

    

84. Remove coolant refill hose from coolant container

    

85. Remove coolant overflow hose from coolant container

    

86. Disconnect vacuum refill hose from refill cap on coolant bottle

    

    

87. Remove refill tool cap from coolant bottle assembly

    

88. Remove coolant refill tool from vehicle

    

    

89. Remove both coolant containers from inside underhood area

    

90. Connect first responder loop and LV battery
    Remarque

    2x connectors, Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated

97. Connect superhorn connector
    Remarque

    1x clip, 1x connector, Engage locking tab

    

    

98. Install both side bolts securing valance to fascia
    Remarque

    2x bolts, T40, 2.5 Nm

    

    

99. Install clips secure RH wheel liner to front fascia and valance
    Remarque

    3x push clips

    

100. Install clips secure LH wheel liner to front fascia and valance
     Remarque

     3x push clips

     

101. Position front aero shield onto vehicle
     Remarque

     2x datums, 2x nuts, 15mm, 5 Nm, Hand-tighten the nuts to temporarily hold the panel in place

     

     

     

102. Install front aero shield onto vehicle
     Remarque

     7x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Apply Loctite 222 onto front aero shield bolts and install fasteners to front aero shield

     

     

103. Torque front aero shield nuts
     Remarque

     2x nuts, 15mm, 5 Nm

     

104. Lower vehicle fully
     Remarque

     Raise lift off locks, Then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

     

     

     

105. Coolant air purge run time
     Remarque

     Run time: 00:10:00, Subtract overlap time spent on other operations while waiting for coolant purge run

     

106. Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary
     Remarque

     Ensure that fluid level is at Max line, Vacuum fill required if greater than 1L lost during repair

     

107. Install coolant bottle cap

     2x clips, 1x align pin, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, Position clips onto bulkhead studs then duct secure onto thermal bar

     

     

     

     

110. Install HEPA filter assembly
     Remarque

     2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm, Pivot forward edge down past frunk assembly, Then carefully move rear edge past brake reservoir and into position, Gently press on RH side of filter to seat seal onto duct, Do not pinch washer hose in between HEPA filter assembly and body

     

     

     

     

     

     

111. Install rear apron
     Remarque

     16x trim clips, 3x locator pins, 2x clips, Replace any missing or damaged clips, Ensure pyrotechnic hood actuators are aligned with openings in apron

     

     

     

112. Close hood

     

     

113. Raise LH front window

     

114. Close LH front door

     

115. Remove vehicle from lift
     Remarque

     Lower rack arms fully and remove from under vehicle
