Retirer

  1. Put the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

    Ensure the vehicle is not charging.
  2. Open the RH front door and lower the window.
  3. Remove the HEPA filter assembly. See Hepa Filter (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Unité de rangement sous le capot (retirez et remplacez).
  5. Disconnect LV power. See Alimentation 12 BT (déconnecter et connecter).
  6. Remove the bolt and clips (x2) that attach the air intake duct, and then remove the air intake duct from the vehicle.

    Remarque
    Gently pry pin out from the thermal beam then remove the duct from the bulkhead studs.
  7. Remove the LH and RH front wheels. See Ensemble de roue (retrait et installation).
  8. Remove the front aero shield panel. See Panneau - écran aérodynamique - avant (retirez et remplacez).
  9. Position a fluid catcher underneath the front of the vehicle.
  10. Position a protective fender cover over the fan shroud.
  11. Disconnect the HVIL connector.
  12. Disconnect the A/C compressor logic connector.
  13. Release the clip that attaches the harness to the HV harness bracket.
  14. Remove the bolt that attaches the A/C compressor ground strap.
  15. Remove the clip that attaches the radiator inlet hose to the A/C compressor bracket.
  16. Release the retaining clips (x5) that attach the A/C compressor HV harness to the shock tower support brace.
  17. Release the clips (x4) that attach the coolant hose to the A/C compressor bracket.
  18. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the A/C compressor and bracket to the shock tower support brace, and then move the components aside.

    Remarque
    Support the A/C compressor while removing the bolts. Carefully move the A/C compressor and A/C compressor bracket towards the front of the vehicle.
  19. Disconnect the HCU connector.
  20. Release the HCU connector harness clip.
  21. Put absorbent material underneath the brake lines and brake fluid reservoir to catch any spilled fluid.
  22. Clean the area around the brake fluid reservoir cap, and then remove the brake reservoir cap.
  23. Remove the nut that attaches the master cylinder secondary brake line to the HCU.
  24. Remove the nut that attaches the master cylinder primary line to the HCU.
  25. Remove the master cylinder secondary line from the HCU.
  26. Remove the master cylinder primary line from the HCU.
  27. Release the clip that attaches the master cylinder brake lines to the rear of the HCU bracket.
  28. Release the clips (x3) that attach the master cylinder brake lines to the rear of the HCU bracket and body.
  29. Release the master cylinder brake lines from the clips, and then remove the brake lines from the vehicle.

Installer

  1. Install the master cylinder brake lines in the clips.
  2. Install the master cylinder brake lines to the rear of the HCU bracket to the body.
  3. Install the clip that attaches the master cylinder brake lines to the rear of the HCU bracket.
  4. Install the master cylinder primary brake line to the HCU.
  5. Install the master cylinder secondary brake line to the HCU.
  6. Install the nut that attaches the master cylinder primary brake line to the HCU (torque 18 Nm).

    Start threading nut by hand to avoid cross threading.
  7. Install the nut that attaches the master cylinder secondary brake line to the HCU (torque 18 Nm).

  8. Attach the clip that attaches the HCU harness to the HCU bracket.
  9. Connect the HCU connector.
  10. Install the bolts that attach the A/C compressor and bracket to the shock tower support brace (torque 31 Nm).
  11. Install the clips (x4) that attach the coolant hose to the A/C compressor bracket.
  12. Install the retaining clips (x5) that attach the A/C compressor HV harness to the shock tower brace.

    Visually inspect the clips and replace any if damaged.
  13. Install the clip that attaches the radiator inlet hose to the A/C compressor bracket.
  14. Install the bolt that attaches the A/C compressor ground strap (torque 7 Nm).
  15. Install the clip that attaches the harness to the HV harness bracket.
  16. Connect the A/C compressor logic connector.
  17. Connect the HVIL connector.
  18. Connect LV power. See Alimentation 12 BT (déconnecter et connecter).
  19. Remove the protective fender cover from the fan shroud.
  20. Remove the fluid catcher from underneath the vehicle.
  21. Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3.0 (connecter et déconnecter).
  22. Nettoyez la zone autour du reniflard du réservoir de liquide de freins, puis enlevez le reniflard.
  23. Add clean brake fluid to the full level in the bleeder reservoir.
  24. Remplissez le réservoir de liquide de freins propre jusqu’à MAX.
  25. Install the pressure bleeder adapter onto the vehicle brake reservoir.
  26. Connect power supply to the bleeder tool, and then turn the bleeder tool on.
  27. Set the brake bleed reservoir pressure to 30 PSI, and then attach the brake bleed reservoir to the brake bleed adapter.
  28. Bleed the inner valve of the LH front caliper.
    1. Remove the LH front caliper inner bleed valve cover, and then install the fluid catcher.
    2. Open the inner bleed valve and watch the fluid as it flows out of the caliper.
    3. In Toolbox, click on the Actions/Autodiag tab, search for "DPB Brake Fluid Change routine", and select the PROC_DPB_BRAKE-FLUID-CHANGE, click Run to start the routine.

      This routine can be performed via the following touchscreen path: Chassis > Procedures > DPB Post Replacement > Bleed FL Caliper.

      DPB will pressurize the brake system with impulses.
    4. Close the bleed valve when the pump stops.
    5. Make sure that the reservoir does not go empty, or that the catch bottle does not overfill.
    6. Repeat step 28.b through step 28.e until clean fluid without bubbles flows out of the caliper.
    7. Remove the fluid catcher, and then torque the LH front caliper inner bleed valve and install the inner valve cap.
      18.5 Nm (13.6 lbs-ft)

  29. Repeat 28 to bleed the inner valve of the RH front caliper.

    Remarque
    To bleed the FR inner valve via the touchscreen, choose Chassis > Procedures > DPB Post Replacement > Bleed FR Caliper.
  30. Turn off and remove the pressure brake bleeder kit from the vehicle.
  31. Check the brake fluid level and top off as necessary.
  32. Install the service brake reservoir cap.
  33. Remove the absorbent material from underneath the brake booster assembly and the reservoir area.

      If the test fails due to leakage, identify and address the root cause of the leak.

      If the test fails due to stiffness, perform a brake fluid bleed procedure on the failed caliper.

      If the test still fails after completing the brake fluid bleed procedure on the failed caliper, proceed with the Brake Fluid Bleed/Flush (DPB) (Maintenance) Procedure.

  35. Appuyez plusieurs fois sur le frein pour vérifier son fonctionnement.
  36. Exit Service Mode or disconnect the laptop if applicable (see 0005 – Modes d’entretien).
  37. Install the front aero shield panel. See Panneau - écran aérodynamique - avant (retirez et remplacez).
  38. Install the LH and RH front wheels. See Ensemble de roue (retrait et installation).
  39. Install the air intake duct. See Duct - Air Intake (Remove and Replace).
  40. Install the HEPA filter assembly. See Service Kit - Hepa And Carbon Filters (Remove and Replace).
  41. Install the underhood storage unit. See Unité de rangement sous le capot (retirez et remplacez).
  42. Perform a road test to make sure there is proper pedal feel and brake performance.
